Adnan Sami returns with 'Kisi Din'

After a hiatus, Adnan Sami would be returning to the singing scene with his latest album 'Kisi Din'. Slated for release later this month, the album comes in the wake of his super successful albums 'Kabhi To Nazar Milao', 'Tera Chehra' and 'Teri Kasam'. Sami has been missing from action for more than 2 years as he got immersed in an intense weight loss program. In fact he was not seen much even in Bollywood composition and singing scene after he gave music for Salman Khan starrer LUKCY - NO TIME FOR LOVE. His most popular track in the recent times has been 'Dil Kya Kare' which he sung for Shankar Ehsaan Loy's SALAAM E ISHQ. Just recently he was heard in Pritam's 'Baatein' for which he has contributed to the rock band created for the film LIFE IN A...METRO. Now one keenly anticipates Adnan's 'Kisi Din' since his albums always boast of class, quality and some great music videos. One wishes that 'Kisi Din' only follows the trend!

Adnan Sami's new look comeback on April 12

It is going to be celebrations time soon. Not just Adnan Sami is making a comeback with his latest album KISI DIN, his new look is a revealation too as he faces the camera afer months in much lighter 'avtar'. Adnan Sami may have lost dozens of kilos as a result of a rigorous regime but what he hasn't lost is his stranglehold behind the mike, his charm and his innocence. All of this is pretty much visible in the opening promo of the album that goes by the name of 'Teri Yaad'. A young track where Adnan goes about proposing to a girl he had always loved only to loose her soon after, it has that melodious base to it which makes it a repeat hearing in spite of sad undertones. With the arrival of his much awaited album on 12th April, one waits to see what are the other special attractions in this Sami offering!

Adnan Sami now plays GODFATHER

Move over Marlon Brando, Adnan Sami is here! 35 years back, Marlon Brando had made Don Vito Corleone a legend of sorts as he enacted the title role of all time classic THE GODFATHER. Now Adnan Sami too dons a similar wardrobe (literally) as he does his own take on GODFATHER for his upcoming music album. GODFATHER in a music video? So what's the connection? Well, in accordance to his exclusive tie up with one of the leading music channels of the country, Adnan has begun publicity of his album by acting in specially designed promos where he features as Godfather. The resemblance is simply unbelievable here as not just he dresses up like Marlon Brando, he even has the make up done in such a manner that his looks too match. Add to that the tone, voice, mannerisms and an entire body language being so similar that one can't help but one wonder if we have yet another musical talent ready to be explored as an actor!

Adnan Sami dances for 'Baarish'

Adnan Sami is turning out to be overtly cute with every passing week. And no, we are not even talking about the aggressive weight loss drive that he has been on. One look at the music videos of his new album on the stands and one can make out that the composer/singer is pretty keen on rediscovering himself on a continuous basis. After 'Teri Yaad' and 'Kisi Din', he is now back with his latest song 'Baarish' where he has actually shown his lighter side to the world. Not just he sings and romances (as he has been doing over the years) with the ladies, he has also danced to the tune. A groovy track, it has some graceful dance steps that go with the image of Adnan Sami hence also making him look cute on screen. Pairing up with a popular model, he brings a smile on throughout the track's duration and makes sure that he is remembered not just for his singing and composing but also dancing skills.

Adnan Sami features in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' song

Singer Adnan Sami has not just sung a qawwali for Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" but he also features in the track, which also has snapshots of the superstar. The song "Bhar do jholi meri" -- written by Kausar Munir -- has primarily been shot at a dargah with Sami. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" director Kabir Khan and some prominent members of the film launched the new number at an event here on Thursday. "It's a special track for us. It's mine as well as Salman's favourite song from the film," Kabir said. The song is an adaptation of a qawwali sung by the Sabri Brothers. "It's a well known qawwali made famous by the Sabri Brothers. And when we were looking for an apt song for a particular situation in the film, we looked for a song having an air of authenticity with it... a song which had moved people over the decades," Kabir added. "Bhar do jholi meri" is a new rendition of this famous Qawwali. "We wanted Adnan Sami to not just sing it but also wanted to have it picturised on him. It's an extremely moving song and that was the basic motive behind it," Kabir said. The makers are hoping the new song will heighten the tremendous buzz for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".
