Telugu actress Laya Gorty, who was rumoured to be injured in a car accident in Los Angeles earlier this week, has rubbished the reports and added that she's absolutely fine. In a video on her Facebook page, she said the news about the accident is absolutely baseless, and that she's alive and kicking. She also requested the media to verify news before publishing anything. Having starred in over 50 Telugu films such as "Swayamvaram", "Hanuman Junction" and "Nee Premakaia", Laya married Sri Ganesh Gorty, a doctor by profession in 2006. She has since then settled in Los Angeles and is blessed with a daughter and son.
Vijayabhaskar to direct Srikanth
Vijayabhaskar who had directed several hit films like 'Swayamvaram, Nuvve Kaavali, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Manmadhudu' is planning another film soon with Srikanth as hero. It is reliably learnt that Srikanth is playing a different character in the film. The story for the movie is ready and a popular producer is going to take up the project. It may be mentioned here that the latest films from this director like 'Jai Chiranjeeva and Classmate' failed to prove hits on the expected lines. So, he took a little gap and prepared a very good subject. He chose Srikanth, who is giving hits after hits, as his hero. It is worth mentioning here that Srikanth was also very choosy in selecting the subjects for his movies.

This film would be produced by Mega Producer Allu Aravind, who never compromises on making, for Geeta Arts. The film was formally launched with puja activities at Film Nagar temple recently and the crew is now busy with story discussions. Devisri Prasad provides tunes for this latest flick. Keeravani's father turns a director
Dynamic writers Paruchuri Brothers who penned dialogues for films like Narasimha Naidu, Indra, Shankar Dada MBBS and Stalin, turned directors and proved successful. Trivikram Srinivas who gave punch dialogues in Swayamvaram, Nuvve Kaavali and Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and made the films a big hit, turned a director and achieved success. Likewise, Kulasekhar, a lyricist who worked for films like Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Jayam and Gharshana, turned director and made Premalekha Raasa' Neekandi Untadi.' So it is not new that writers are turning directors and are proving to be successful as well. In this backdrop, popular music director Keeravani's father and eminent lyricist and painter, Sivakasi Dutta is also turning a director. The film would go to sets next month and the details are awaited.
