Nagababu's 'Vooriko Tagore' begins 14

'Vooriko Tagore' is a title that reminds of the earlier hit delivered by megastar Chiranjeevi in the direction of VV Vinayak. The blockbuster title 'Tagore' has been a tad altered for this new movie with Nagababu. Tagged as a costly venture, it is produced by B Bhaskar Raju Naidu on Gangorti Films banner. Errababu Kishore makes his debut as a director with Vooriko Tagore. The movie will begin from Nov 14 at Annapurna Studios. Every time it's the same but for this movie the audio will be released on the first day of shooting itself. A novel idea indeed! The music album is comprised of eight songs which are yet to be visualized. The songs have been lined in by Vishnusri and songster Lakshmi Vinayak composed the musical score.

Sharmila Tagore: Real man shares wife's household work load

Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore feels a real man is one who shares household work load with his wife, and says such a move would promote participative relationship, bringing in happiness and peace at home. "It's in everybody's mind that this load sharing and this household chores need to be shared, do the laundry at home and help in household chores," Tagore told reporters at a promotional event. "Now we are all working women. Things are now changing and now we are ready and we want men to come forward and share the load. It's not going to make you less of a man. I have seen Saif (Ali Khan, her son)...When he became father (how he shared the load)," the National Award-winning actress said. "To be a real man, I think you have to be supportive of each other and to be a real woman you have to be supportive of your man, and the man has to do the same thing, only then he would be a real man," Sharmila said. Sharmila's daughter and actress Soha Ali Khan said men can certainly do household chores. "If I can do it, men can certainly do it. It's interesting now to talk about equality in the home and involving men in household chores such that women don't have to over extend themselves doing both her job and coming home and doing all the household chores," Soha said. "So, that kind of sharing the load is something that I have seen in my family growing up. Amma (Sharmila) was a working wife and a mother. I have seen my father (late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) being very supportive of that and laundry was always my father's department," she added.

Sharmila Tagore, Deepa Mehta, And Freida Pinto Are Now Part Of The Oscars

Legendary actress Sharmila Tagore, Into-American Director Deepa Mehta, and Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto, are part of the new Indian contingent to be included by the Academy of Motions Pictures Arts and Sciences in its latest class of members. As per Firstpost, the Academy extended invitations to 683 new members this year – the largest ever in its history – of which 46% were female and 41% belonged to non-Caucasian ethnicities, as it sent a clear message of diversifying following widespread criticism over its largely white members, who also happen to be mostly men. British filmmaker, Asif Kapadia, was another inductee of Indian origin to be included as part of this year’s members. Academy President, Cheryl Boone Issacs, was quoted saying, “We are proud to welcome these new members to the Academy, and know they view this as an opportunity and not just an invitation, a mission, and not just a membership.” Indeed a huge honor for Tagore, Mehta, and Pinto, and a proud moment for Indian cinema.
