Tamanna, the Fair and Lovely Girl whom we saw in Shri, is pretty thrilled about Jadoo. Jadoo, directed by Jyothi Krishna, features Ravi Krishna, her and Ileana. Produced by AM Rathnam, it is considered a hot film on the youth circuit. Tamanna too feels that way. This bilingual (in Tamil, too) was one of the earliest films she signed (in fact even before Shri). So she is highly thrilled at the prospect of the movie's release. 'In Jadoo I play a very bold and decisive character,' Tamanna says of her role. Playing the sister of Atul Kulkarni the movie, Tamanna says her role is very bubbly. She too is.
Tamanna dreams of acting with Hrithik
Now, this is one coincidence that could work to the advantage of this lovely Mumbai girl, who is busy with Telugu films these days. The effervescent Tamanna, who was seen in 'Happy Days' and is doing some huge films in Tamil and Telugu, says she dreams of doing a film opposite Hrithik. Apparently, she is enamoured by the Greek god looks of Hrithik. Just cannot blame the petite heroine as it is only natural to want to share the screen space with him. But that is not all. She says the perfect combination would be she and Hrithik playing the lead pair and Sanjay Leela Bhansali directing them. After all, don't they say, dream big and aim high?
Tamanna to play opposite NTR
Tamanna, who shot into fame with 'Happy Days' is getting good offers, one after another in her career. Her recent release 'Kalidasu' opposite Nagarjuna's nephew Sushant, also earned her a good name. Presently she signed opposite Siddhartha for 'Koncham Ishtam' Koncham Kashtam''. After this film, she had agreed to play opposite NTR for his forthcoming film to be directed by VV Vinayak, presented by Kodali Nani and produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan on the banner of Vaishnavi Arts. However, she is playing the second heroine, as Trisha was already selected as the main heroine for the movie. The film is all set to go to sets in June. Dasarath is scripting dialogues while Chota K Naidu is the cinematographer for that movie. It is worth mentioning here that she had also got an opportunity to play opposite Ram under the direction of B Gopal to be produced by MS Raju. So, the future of Tamanna is looking quite bright.
Tamanna wants to dub in her own voice
'Happy Days' the super hit Tollywood film did the trick for the upcoming actress Tamanna. After her Hindi film 'Chand Sa Roshan Chehra' and 'Sri' in Tollywood and 'Kedi' in Kollywood did not rise up to the expectations, the huge success of 'Happy Days' in Telugu gave the upcoming actress Tamanna a much needed hit to start a smooth run. Tamanna says that she followed the instructions of the director Shekar Kammula of 'Happy Days' to not to act in the scenes but simply get attached with the scenes. She did the same thing and her acting was appreciated and the super hit status of the movie turned out to be the icing in the cake. Her role in the simple movie 'Kallori' gave her an image of an actress who has enough stuff to perform demanding roles. Now she is regarded as one of the fastest growing actresses in Kollywood with a mega project like 'Ayan' with Suriya, 'Padikathavan' with Dhanush and 'Aanandha Thandavam' with a new hero lined up. Just like Bhavana, Asin and Sheha who have started dubbing in their own voice, Tamanna too desires to dub in her own voice in Tamil. In Tollywood too she is becoming a hot property. She will be soon seen in two movies as the heroines of Allu Arjun and Siddharth. Right now Tamanna is learning Telugu to dub in her own voice for her next movie. In the future this extremely beautiful actress is also keen to do the same in Tamil.
Tamanna as the latter in 'Varudu'
The highly anticipated movie of 2009, 'Varudu' is under brisk progress as the film is slated for a release in the upcoming year. The Prince of Tollywood Mahesh Babu dons the lead role in this film, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The movie is produced by Singanamala Ramesh on 'Kanaka Ratna Movies' banner. The female lead is enacted by Parvathi Melton, while Tamanna of 'Happy Days' fame is made as the choice to play the second heroine in the film. In the first place, the official launch for the project was planned on 10th of September. Now, it has been postponed to the last week of September. The movie has evoked high level of interest even before its launch.
Tamanna says NO
Tamanna has declined an offer to act opposite Mahesh Babu in a Telugu film to be directed by Trivikram, one of the happening directors of Andhra Pradesh. According to sources, the trouble is that she was promised the heroine's role, but it now looks like Parvathi Melton, the other heroine has more scenes and songs with Mahesh. Following this, Tamanna has reportedly decided to opt out. The petite actress is currently playing the female lead role in three Tamil films- Ayan opposite Surya, Padikadhavan opposite Dhanush and Ananda Thandavam, which has the story of Sujatha and directed by Chellamay fame Gandhi Krishna. However, Tamanna in a telephonic reaction to musicmazaa has stated that she had to opt out of the project due to non availability of dates.
