A full song filmed on a single shot. Must have been a real challenge doing that, right! But these days every other film maker is trying out least expected innovative ways to capture the film lovers minds and to project their films as special ones. So the makers of 'Target' too would have found presenting an entire song picturised in a single shot quite unusual. Important scenes, a fight, and two songs have already been completed at Ramoji Film City from March 22 to April 2. Some other scenes and a song will be shot in Koorg, Karnatak from April 13. A song going to be filmed on Sivabalaji and Mumaith Khan will be shot in Hyderabad. Siva Balaji is the Hero of the film. Shradha Das is the Heroine and is directed by Ramesh Raja. Music is composed by Koti and produced under the banner of Siri Sai Surya movies by Singisetti Dhasaratha and B.Ramakrishna. Is 'Target' going to hit its decided target as desired by its makers or will this film become a good target for the ever hungry critics?
'Target' cans song at Koorg in Karnataka
Canning of songs is in progress at Koorg in Karnataka for 'Target' directed by Ramesh Raja and produced by Sangisetty Dasarath and B Ramakrishna on the banner of Siri Sai Surya Movies with Sivabalaji and Shraddha Das in the lead and Mumait Khan in a key role. Director says, 'For anyone there should be a target in his life. Then only his life becomes fruitful. If there is no specific target, the movement of life would be meaningless. What is the target of our hero could be seen only on the screen.' Producers say, 'We will complete the shooting very soon. Presently a song is being canned on Sivabalaji and Mumait Khan. One more song remained balance and that would be shot in Hyderabad on Sivabalaji, Shraddha Das and Mumait Khan with which we will wrap up the shooting. After completing the post-production works, we are making efforts to release the film on May 9.' Krishna Bhagawan, Riaz Khan, Ali, Viswajit Pradhan, Venumadhav, Malladi Raghava, Vizag Prasad, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Vallabhaneni Janardhan, Satyam Rajesh, Vijayaranga Raju, Raghunatha Reddy, Sarat, Raghava, Akshaya Aravind, Prasad, Gauthamraju, V Madhu, Sairabanu, Abhinayasri, Mandakini, Nandini and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Veligonda Srinivas, camera is by VN Suresh Kumar, editing is by K Ramesh, art is by K Muralidhar and action is by Vijay, while story, screenplay and direction are by Ramesh Raja.
'Target' on target
Mumaith Khan, Shiva Balaji and Sharadha Das star in the film 'Target' and the film has finished filming. Post production work is going on right now. Director Ramesh Raja said, 'the intensity of the film will be the same as the title. This is a commercial entertainer that'll go well with everybody. There is a message in the film that'll be liked by everybody'. The director also added, 'Watch out for Mumaith Khan's performance. It'll be very different from her earlier roles. Interestingly, a still from the movie featuring Mumaith Khan has a striking resemblance to steamy Sharon Stone sitting cross-legged in the movie 'Basic Instinct'. Sharon stone played the character of Katharine Tramella in this engrossing murder mystery. Well, is this a clue to the character Mumaith Khan plays in 'Target'? Grapevine has it that the film is indeed along the lines of 'Basic Instinct' although no official comment pertaining to this has been made. 'Basic Instinct' was released almost 16 years ago and the movie is still refreshing enough to inspire loads of other movies and filmnagar is almost certain that 'Target' is also a murder mystery designed after the hot and erotic Sharon Stone. The movie will have its audio release by the end of this month and plans are on to get the film released by the 2nd week of August. Singi Setti Dasarath and B. Ramakrishna are producing this film under the banner of Siri Sai Surya Movies. Other important members of the cast include Riyaaz Khan, Vishwajith Pradhan, Krishna Bhagavan, Venu Madhav among others. Dialogues are by Veligonda Srinivas and cinematography by V. N. Suresh Kumar. The background score is by Koti. Is 'Target' inspired by 'Basic Instinct'? We'll know for sure in a few weeks. This sure is worth the wait.
'Target' almost complete
Ramesh Raja's 'Target' is almost complete with the DTS mixing going on right now. Siva Balaji, Mumaith Khan and Shradha Das play the lead roles. The film is produced by Singi Setty Dasarath and B.Ramakrishna under the 'Sai Surya Movies' banner. Digital intermediate work will start once the DTS mixing is done and by the 25th of July the first copy will be ready. The movie is slated for release in August. Speaking to the press producer SS Dasarath said that 'Target' will be a major milestone movie in his career. Songs and sequences filmed in Coorg (referred to as Scotland of India) will be a highlight. The graphics work on the fights will also be a huge attraction. Mumaith told that she had watched the rushes of the film and like it very much. She also loved her part in the film. She expressed her hope that the efforts put in by the team will surely be recognized. The others in the cast of the film include Krishna Baghavan, Venu Madhav, Jeeva and Riyaz Khan. Music is by Koti and camerawork by V. N. Suresh Kumar.
'Target' getting ready for release
Directed by Ramesh Raja and produced by Sangisetty Dasaratha and B Ramakrishna on the banner of Sri Sai Surya Movies with Sivabalaji and Shraddha Das in the lead and Mumait Khan in a key role, is all set for release very soon. Re-recording works are in progress now and the producer is making efforts to release the film by the end of August. Producer says, 'It is a crime thriller with action in its backdrop. In this film, each character had a target. The character played by Mumait Khan was moulded in a novel way. All the songs are melodious and attractive. Moreover, the fights in which Mumait Khan was involved would remain a highlight. As a whole it is an out and out commercial film to attract all classes of audiences. We are confident that the film would be a hit. We are making efforts to launch the audio in the first half of August and the film by the end of August.' Krishna Bhagawan, Venumadhav, Jeeva, Riaz Khan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Vijayarangaraju, Gauthamraju, Geeta Singh and others are in the cast. Target Fixed for Mega Fans!
Megastar Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law Allu Aravind is touring Vijayawada to fix a venue for the audio launch of Chiranjeevi's comeback movie "Khaidi No 150". Allu Aravind and his team inspected various locations including KL University's stadium where the audio of RGV's "Vangaveeti" was held recently. This is official news. The inside scoop is that Allu Aravind is looking to make this event a huge show of attendance of public and fans. Since the movie is going to compete with Balakrishna's movie, Balakrishna and TDP men have already planned to bring in thousands of fans to the audio event. So, Chiranjeevi too wants to show his strength. Inside buzz is that a target has been fixed to each district and area presidents of Mega Fans' Association are to bring in a certain number of fans to the audio event. Generally, mega fans come in thousands when public events are held for Pawan Kalyan or Allu Arjun or Ram Charan's movies. But Chiranjeevi has lost that glory as he has been away from the arc lights for years as a hero. But Allu Aravind, the trusted brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi, took it as a prestigious issue to make this event a roaring success and to see that his brother-law still has great crowd-pulling capacity among fans and general public. The audio event will be held on December 25 in Vijayawada. The venue will be announced shortly.
