More news →‘Tees Maar Khan’ gets out-of-box music release – inside train!
Just like filmmaker Farah Khan’s brand of cinema, the music launch of “Tees Maar Khan” was grand, colourful and entertaining. That’s because Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif released it in a moving train! The special train, meant only for the media and the film’s cast and crew, left Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) station for Lonavala two-and-a-half hours away Sunday. The train had posters of the film all over and even a red carpet inside to welcome everyone. “It’s an important film for us and I wanted to do something out-of-the-box,” said Farah. A train was used as the venue for the launch because the film features a major train heist. “Tees Maar Khan”, an action comedy, is set to hit the screens Dec 24. It also stars Akshaye Khanna. After a delay of two hours, the train left for its destination. The journey was laced with entertainment. First, composers Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravijiani entertained everyone with a live performance and then the star cast consisting of Akshay, dressed like his character in the film, and Katrina, greeted everyone by going from compartment to compartment. This is the first time the music of a film is being released in this manner as Farah said she wanted to do something different. Even the actors of the film didn’t seem to have a problem with the train ride and seemed to quite enjoy the whole process. “I have always loved travelling in a train and it’s nice to be doing that again. I think this a wonderful way of launching the music, different and fun,” Katrina, who was dressed in a peach pink short dress,said. Once the train reached Lonavala station, more drama was in store. A wedding band started belting out numbers like “Tees maar khan” and “Sheila ki jawani” from the film and the people present at the station were excited to the hilt when they saw Akshay and Katrina alighting from the train. Then everyone headed to the hotel for lunch, where another performances by dancers were awaiting the guests.
Farah offers ‘Tees Maar Khan’ sequel to Akshay
It seems like this conman is already on a trail as director Farah Khan is planning a sequel to Akshay Kumar-starrer “Tees Maar Khan”, which hits the screens Friday. “When Farah and Katrina went to shoot the grand finale of STAR Plus’ cookery game show ‘MasterChef India’, she was so impressed with Akshay’s hospitality that she ended up offering ‘Tees Maar Khan 2′ to the actor,” said a source. Akshay, of course, jumped at the offer! The finale of “MasterChef India” will be aired Saturday.
Akki TEES BAAR Flying for TEES MAAR KHAN!
Does anyone realize Akshay Kumar is the real superstar? If you haven’t yet, then read this. Akshay Kumar is doing what an ordinary ‘aam aadmi’ will wish for. Flying in a helicopter!! Yes, Akshay is reported to be saying to the makers of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ that he misses his family, and wants to visit them everyday. As the shooting of the movie is currently happening at a location outside Mumbai, Akshay has asked his producers to fly him back home everyday for the next 1 month. Sources add that director of the movie, Farah Khan is camping at Malshej Ghat with her triplets but Akki has no plans to stay there. And guess what, the producers have obliged this, and have hired a chopper for him to fly everyday after the end of shoot. How accommodating! and how generous!
I’ve a guest appearance in ‘Tees Maar Khan’: Akshaye Khanna
Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna revealed that he doesn’t have a full fledged role in Farah Khan’s next directorial venture “Tees Maar Khan”. “I’m just making a guest appearance in ‘Tees Maar Khan’. I just had to work for 10-11 days. I’ve known Farah for years now and I love her to death. She is mad, completely cranked, her films are also cranked, so it was great fun working with her,” Akshaye said. “Tees Maar Khan”, slated to hit screens Dec 24, is an action comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
