NTR to build temple to his grandfather

May 28 is the birth anniversary of Viswa Vikhyata Nata Sarvabhouma, Nata Ratna, Padma Shri, Dr Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. On that day, not only all his family members but also his fans worldwide pay rich tributes to him. Though everyone remembers him in various ways, it was not just the case with his grandson NT Ramarao Junior. He not only bequeathed his attire, but also continuing his legacy in the filmdom. He showed his love, affection and devotion towards his grandfather in a different way and in his own style. He bathed the idols of his grandfather NT Ramarao and also his grandmother Basava Rama Tarakam at NTR's birthplace Nimmakuru. He lauded his grandfather in many ways and informed the visiting film journalists that he would construct a temple for his grandfather. Besides NTR, Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani, Sukumar and others participated in the meeting.

Allu Arjun Visits Kanaka Durga temple

Stylish star Allu Arjun visited the famous Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada as part of Devi Navaratri celebrations. Allu Arjun wished to seek the divine blessings of Kanaka Durga before he embarks onto his new movie under Trivikram Srinivas direction. Last year Anushka visited the temple, which is located on the Indrakeeladri hill, on the banks of the river Krishna. The deity in the Kanaka Durga temple is regarded as Swayambhu or self-manifested, hence is considered very powerful.

"Walking up to Siddhivinayak temple wasn't tiring at all" - Sheeba

Actress Sheeba recently walked up to the Siddhivinayak Temple for the first time in her life. And interestingly the lady says it was not one bit exhausting! The lady known for being a fitness freak and a sucker for workout regime, decided to accompany friends one fine day to walk it up to the temple and much to her friends' agony, was always one pace ahead, making it more troublesome for them to make up with her swiftness. "It was a great experience, because I have always only seen and heard friends going. But this time, I thought even I should try it out, and I must say it was really least bit tiring for me," gleams Sheeba. Well for a mother of two and a busy actress, she sure has a lot of stamina.

Shooting at Parthasarathy Temple

Gowtham Vasudeva Menon's Varanam Aayiram is fast shaping up. The movie featuring Suriya went to floors a few days. The movie was initially shot in Campa Cola Grounds. Now the cast and crew are bound to a vacant area behind Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Triplicane to shoot a song sequence for the movie. The movie features Kuthu Ramya and Daniel Balaji in prominent roles. Music is by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by R D Rajasekhar. The cast and crew are planning to go to Afghanistan to shoot a major portion of the movie soon.

Recreating the famous temple in Chennai - Thenavattu

Koothandavar temple, located at a remote village in Villupuram district is famous for its annual festival in which transgender from all over the world take part. A huge set replicating the temple will be erected in Chennai next month to shoot important sequences for Jeeva starrer Thenavattu. Thenavattu starring Jeeva has already hit the floors. Shooting commenced at the temple a few weeks ago. Art director Roopesh is busy erecting a huge set resembling the temple at YMCA Grounds in Chennai.

Vijay and Velankanni Temple

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay is so pious that he visits Punitha Anthoniar Temple located in Chennai Parry's Corner on every first Tuesday of each month. He also makes it a point to go to Velankanni after the release of each of his films. You might wonder how the popular star could go to such a place where thousands of people gather without getting noticed. His security personals reveal that he visits there during mid night with the cooperation of the temple authorities.
