Actress Bharathi shot to fame after her performance in 'Ammuvagiya Naan' starring Parthiban. Her performance as a sex worker won rave reviews and numerous filmmakers wanted her in their films. But a choosy Bharathi waited for performance oriented roles and signed up with 'Nenjathai Killathey' with Vikranth. Though the movie failed to make much of an impression, the actress had won many hearts again with her performance. She is currently acting in 'Satrumun Kidaitha Thagaval'. This is when her marriage plans have taken top priority and had to reject offers such as 'Engal Aasaan' with Vijaykanth and 'Enga Raasi Nalla Raasi'. Reports say that Bharathi is to marry a relative and that she would be bidding adieu to acting once and for all. musicmazaa wishes Bharathi a very happy married life.
Bharathi pairs with Kanal Kannan
Kanal Kannan is one of the highly respected and senior stunt directors in south India. He has choreographed many breath taking stunt sequences featuring the likes of Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Vikram, Vijay, Ajith and Suriya. He has also done some cameos in many films. Now, the stunt master is poised to become the Tamil version of Jackie Chan' a rollickingly funny, action star who has worked his way up from stuntman. He has done the lead role in 'Satrumun Kidaitha Thagaval', directed by Thakkali C. Srinivasan. The movie has Bharathi, 'Ammuvagiya Naan' fame, in female lead role. Sriman, Livingstone, Kausalya, Sethu among many others have done important roles. Thakkali C Srinivasan is known for his passion for making thriller movies. He has many successful ventures like Nalaya Manithan, Manasukkul Mattapu, Jenma Nakshatiram, and Ashokavanum to his credit. He is directing a Tamil film after a short break. The audio of the movie will be released on Thursday (24.01.2008) evening in Chennai. S Baskar Produces the movie under the banner of Air Media Technologies Pvt. Ltd. This is their maiden venture. The movie is expected to be released by February. Kanal Kannan, the successful stunt master, is confident of establishing his mark as an actor in 'Satrumun Kidaitha Thagaval'
Malavika after marriage
Marriage makes little difference in the heroes' professional lives whereas the lives of heroines change for ever after marriage. The fans and the filmmakers tend to see them in a different light and hence their professional lives get jeopardized. The lack of cooperation or encouragement from the new family set up too works against their professional ambitions. However, there are some exceptions to this rule and Malavika's case is one such exception. She continues to enjoy her status among filmmakers and fans as well even after her marriage. The sizzling star continues to sizzle in films like 'Singakutti', 'Aayudham Seyvom', 'Aruvadai Naal', and 'Chatru Mun Kitaitha Thagaval'. She acts as an actor in all these films save 'Aruvadai Naal'. Her husband Sumesh, a perfect gentleman, has never embarrassed her by accompanying her during the shootings. Marriage puts a full stop for the career of many but it has proved to be a blessing in terms of profession to Malavika.
Bharathis approach to her career
"I will not hunt for chances to act with big heroes", proclaims Bharathi, the young and upcoming heroine. Instead, she feels that, "If I get good name in whatever roles I get, the big stars will automatically call me", says the lass with confidence. Bharathi was shot to fame with her role in Ammuvaaghiya Naan, in which she played as a sex worker. Her commendable portrayal of the character brought her lot of critical acclaim. It was really a rare incident to get such a plump offer in the initial stage of a heroine's character. The girl has now got a couple of offers. She has been signed to act in Agathiyan's Nenjathai Killadhae opposite Vikranth. She has also been roped in for Thakkali Srinivasan's 'Chatru Mun Kitaiththa Thagaval'. Both films are said to be offering her strong characters. Though she had flaunted her body without inhibitions in Ammuvaaghiya Naan, she is not for glamorous roles, she says. "The character required such acting and hence I did it. But I am not for glamour for glamour sake", asserts the upcoming star. "Had I opted for typical glam doll roles, I would have got more offers, but since I don't want to do that, I had to wait for quite long to get a good role", explains Bharathi. Finally she got it in Padma Magan's Ammuvaaghiya Naan, which proved to be a real breakthrough. The girl hailing from Coimbatore, clearly prefers quality to quantity. She is, as mentioned above, not interested in hunting chances to act with big heroes. She could anyway get such offers, if she proves to be a good performer and a successful star.
