Actor-producer Sanjay Suri says content is the star of his forthcoming production "Chauranga". "When you become a producer, pressure is always there. Every producer wants a huge release. I am pitching the film in the areas where such film are watched. We don't have funds for a wider release. "We hope wherever we go, people like it and the word-of-mouth is strong. It will purely work on merit and content is the hero of this film," Sanjay told. Sanjay had earlier co-produced "I Am", and he has co-produced "Chauranga" along with Onir and Mohan Mulani. Asked what prompted him to back the film, Sanjay said: "I read the script and I loved it. When I read the script, I could visualise the film and there was clarity in it. So, I decided to produce it. It took time to make, but we made it. The journey has been long but, we had fun making this film." Directed by Bikas Ranjan Mishra, "Chauranga" features Tannishtha Chatterjee apart from Sanjay and others. The film is a fictional account of six days in a dark corner of India, telling a story of violence of class oppression that still exists in rural India. The film centres around the story of a 14-year-old boy falling in love with a 16-year-old from an upper caste.
Star Hero and his kids escapes the Turkey Blast
Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan who is waiting for release of his upcoming film Mohenjo daro has escaped a major mishap.The handsome actor has escaped from a terrorist attack at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport in Turkey. In a series of tweets Hrithik revealed how he and his kids escaped the attack. "missed connecting flight at Istanbul n wer stuck at airport next flight ws next day,but took economy n flew out earlier. #Prayers4istanbul. Ws helped by d kindest staff at Istanbul arport hours ago. Shocking news. Innocents killed 4 religion.V must stand united against terrorism." Wroted Hritik Its known that 36 people and 150 injured at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Hritik recently attended for IIFA Awards, which was held in Madrid, Spain. After attending the event he along with kids went to Africa for a small vacation. Hrithik had to take a connecting flight from the Istanbul Airport while returning and he had a lucky escape.
The Hero of Big Banners
Young tollywood hero Nara Rohit has the reputation of choosing unconventional subjects and being one of the busiest actors. After working in romantic entertainers, mass films, action thrillers, sports based dramas etc. now Rohit has ventured into horror genre.A new film of Rohit was launched with a small pooja ceremony on the eve of Dasara festival. This new project will be directed by Pavan Sadineni, who had earlier directed Rohit in a romantic entertainer 'Savithri'. Makers claimed that the new film will be a horror thriller full of entertainment. 'Bheemudu' is the title under consideration for this movie. More details about cast and crew will be divulged shortly.Rohit's penchant for different subjects continues with 'Bheemudu'. We need to see how many more genres he touches with his future projects.Meanwhile, Rohit's much delayed 'Shankara' will hit screens on 21st of this month. His new movie "Appatlo Okadundevadu" is in post-production stage and it will also hit screens soon. The film's recently released teaser has garnered good response.
Vivek the hero is coming to town
Vivek's attempt to play hero in 'Solli Adippen' is still in the dark as the movie is yet to hit the screens. However his 'Maganae Marumagane', directed by T P Gajendran features the comedian in the lead role. Vivek has been paired with Yamini Sharma, who shared the screen with Vadivelu in 'Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan'. The film has music by Dheena. T P Gajendran apart from directing 'Maganae Marumagane' has also written the story and screenplay for it. Actor Mithun plays a prominent role while Nasser, Saranya, Livingston, Meenal and Paravai Muniamma are also in the cast. 'Maganae Marumaganae' is about a son and son-in-law who create ruckus within a family. It is expected to be a hilarious entertainer and the whole family can sit and watch the film. ''The concept of organ donation has become popular after the heroic gesture of Hithendran, who donated his organs last week. However I had the foresight to include a few scenes in my movie that talk about the importance of organ donation, a few months ago' he informed. 'Maganae Marumaganae' is co-produced by Raj TV Network.
Srihari to be the hero in 'Sitamahalaxmi Hatya Case'
Real Star Srihari, who won a critical acclaim with his performance in 'Hanumanthu' is playing hero in another film in his home banner again. To be produced by Santhakumari on the banner of Sri Chalana Chitra, introducing fight master Vijayan as director, the film would be the remake of a successful Malayalam film 'Chintamani Cola Case' as 'Sitamahalaxmi Hatya Case'. The film would be launched amidst several prominent film personalities on November 15 and efforts are being made by Srihari's wife and producer Santhakumari in this regard. The producer expressed her ambition that this film would also be a big hit like 'Hanumanthu'.
Teaser: Time is the hero and villain
"Neram" is a super hit Tamil film which is being remade in Telugu with Sandeep Kishan in the lead, while Anisha Ambrose is playing the heroine. Teaser of the film is unveiled other day, and it goes this way. "Time is the hero; and Time is the villain", as the teaser stresses, it introduced many characters from the film including Bobby Simha, Anisha and others. Apart from the cast, the car used in the film and other props are also introduced. This happened to be the teaser of "Neram" too, which is directed by "Premam" fame Alphonse Puthraein. This film is being directed by Mr Nookayya fame Anil Kanneganti.
