Jeeva has begun shooting for Thenavattu, while his E is still running successfully. The film, produced under the banner ELK Productions and presented by Antony, started rolling this morning. The recording of a song also took place. This film is directed by V V Kathir. Cinematography is by Vetri and Srikanth Deva takes care of music.
Kettavan sings for 'Theeyavan'
'Theeyavan', that marks the entry of Udhay and Sriranjan, revolves around a negative hero. Sriranjan, son of the producer, handles the negative character. The young man came into the film world in a dramatic manner. His acting skills in collage cultural programme were received well by many and the reception had triggered the desire to try his hand in films. His father, who is doing real estate business, encouraged him by started a project on his own to launch his son in film industry. This is the story behind Sriranjan becoming 'Theeyavan'. The movie also introduces new music director L.V. Ganesh, son of famous musician L. Vaidyanathan. Since Vaidyanathan and T. Rajender were close friends and relatives, Silambarasan and Ganesh became friends since their childhood. So, when Ganesh requested Silambarasan to sing a song for the movie, he immediately accepted his friend's request and sang the song. So, you have the hero of 'Kettavan' singing for 'Theeyavan'.
Recreating the famous temple in Chennai - Thenavattu
Koothandavar temple, located at a remote village in Villupuram district is famous for its annual festival in which transgender from all over the world take part. A huge set replicating the temple will be erected in Chennai next month to shoot important sequences for Jeeva starrer Thenavattu. Thenavattu starring Jeeva has already hit the floors. Shooting commenced at the temple a few weeks ago. Art director Roopesh is busy erecting a huge set resembling the temple at YMCA Grounds in Chennai.
Jeeva's next, Thenavattu
After his maiden Tamil film Manadodu Mazhai Kalam, producer E Antony now forays to do a movie featuring Jeeva in the lead role. Antony, who distributed Jeeva's Deepavali release E overseas, will produce a movie titled Thenavattu starring Jeeva. The movie is directed by a debutant V V Kathir. Photo session was completed in Pallavaram Hills recently. The search for a heroine is on. Before proceeding to do Thenavattu, Jeeva would complete Pori, Thamizh MA and Rameswaram. With Dishoom and E, both declared hit by the trade circles, Jeeva has emerged the favourite hero of the producers with several offers knocking his doors.
