Director Thirumalai, who directed the Karan starrer, 'Thee Nagar', has entered wedlock with Nadhiya at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Thirumalai recently. Only close friends and relatives were invited for the wedding ceremony, which was arranged by the elders of both families. An assistant director who had worked in several Hindi films, Thirumalai became director with 'Thee Nagar', an average performer at the box office. He is currently directing 'Agam Puram', which has Shaam in the lead. musicmazaa wishes Thirumalai a happy married life!!
Thirumavalavan back to acting
Thol Thirumavalavan is back to business of acting, that is. After some hectic activity on the political field, the Dalit leader would commence shooting for the movie Anbu Thozhi. Thirumavalavan, who as part of his Tamil Protection Movement, organised protests against actors in Kollywood, surprised everyone by taking a jump to acting with Anbu Thozi. He plays a Tamil protagonist in the movie. When Tamilnadu went for polls, Thirumavalavan stopped shooting and concentrated on campaigning after forging an alliance with AIADMK. With elections over, Thirumavalavan is back in action to commence shooting for Anbu Thozhi. Thiruma's portions would be shot from next week.
Thiruvilaiyadal, a breezy entertainer
Directed by Boopathy Pandian, the movie Thiruvilaiyadal has big names like Shreya Reddy and Prakashraj in the cast. A major portion of the movie has been completed and the post-production works would commence soon, says director Boopathy Pandian, who had worked with Dhanush in Devadhaiyai Kandein before. It is said that the Dhanush - Prakashraj combination scenes are the highlights of the film. Unlike his earlier movies, Dhanush does a comical role in this. Dhanush says, 'It is an out and out commercial film with an eye on comedy. After Pudhupettai and Adhu Oru Kanakkalam, I wanted to do a breezy family entertainer, and I got this subject. This is the second film I am doing with Boopathy Pandian.' 'The humour has worked out really well in the family portions of the film and I'm sure the audience will like it,' he says. Another major highlight is Dhanush appearing in different costumes for a song. He sports the looks of MGR, Sivaji Ganesan and Rajinikanth in the song. It would be welcomed by his fans, says Boopathy Pandian. Mouli, Saranya, Karunas and Mayilsamy are also in the cast.
Thiruvaalar Thirumathi, a new game show

The actress has been come down from the USA exclusively for this game show that promises oodles of entertainment with interesting rounds that reflect the bondage between couples. While talking about Jaishree, she also has lent her voice for Jyothika in Gautam Menon's upcoming release "Patchai Kili Muthucharam".Hopefully we will be seeing and hearing more of Jaishree soon. Thol Thirumavalavan turns lyricist
Production house Kovai Film City is coming up with a film titled 'Minsaaram' and politician Thol Thirumavalavan has written a song for the movie. The song is reportedly against slavery and urges the younger generation to stand up for equal rights. Kovai Film City has produced movies such as 'Natchathira Nayagan' with Sarath Kumar and a film titled 'Pathinettu Vayathu Puyale'. The story of 'Minsaaram' is reportedly based on a parallel between the student community and electricity. 'When the student community gets charged up there is no stopping them and posterity is bound to happen', says the director of the film N. Selvakumaran. The movie introduces two debutantes Yuvaraj and Shreesha and Madhusandha plays another heroine. A debutante Muthusamy is introduced as a villain in the film.
Another one for Thirumavalavan
Thirumavalavan has been cast as the hero in a movie titled Kalagam. Directed by M Kalanjiyam, Kalanjiyam has opted for Thiruma to play the protagonist. As the title suggests, the movie has a mass theme. Srikanth Deva scores the music for the movie. Addressing media persons, Thirumavalavan said, 'The movie has an interesting storyline. It has a strong message to convey for the society. It is very different from the regular commercial masala films. I feel cinema is a good medium to propagate values and morals to the people'. Stunts are by Super Subbarayan and the film is produced by Cheguvara. The shooting will commence on 15 July and would be shot in Chennai, Ooty and Kodaikanal.
