Superstar Rajinikanth went to Thirupathi Temple yesterday with his family members to offer prayers. He has gone there with his wife Lata, daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya, son in law Dhanush, and grandson. The visit was to have a 'Dharshan' of the Lord Venkateswara and to perform the ritual of tonsure of his grandson in the divine place. Rajini, who was expected to come back to Chennai by the second week of February from Himalayas, has cut short his trip and came back to Chennai last week. He will soon start his work for his forthcoming film 'Kuselan', directed by P. Vasu.
Tirupathi - Time to celebrate
Ajith is a reluctant participant in functions these days. But the handsome hero will be seen in one, and with reason. His Tirupathi has been a hit. And the production house AVM is all ready to celebrate the over-100days run of the film today. There is a celebration meeting slated for the evening with Ajith being the center of attraction. Perarusu, the film's director, will also be there. The honchos of AVM, including AVM Saravanan are also expected to participate.

While talking about Jaishree, she also has lent her voice for Jyothika in Gautam Menon's upcoming release "Patchai Kili Muthucharam".Hopefully we will be seeing and hearing more of Jaishree soon. Rajni in Tirupathi
Rajnikanth, a deeply religious person, had a special darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Rajnikanth, visiting Tirupati-Tirumala, had his fans in Andhra Pradesh in a tizzy and there was a huge crowd waiting to see him. Meanwhile, for the first time ever Rajnikanth has spoken about his film Sivaji, releasing in less than 48 hours. Rajnikanth in a quick byte to TV journo said,' Sivaji would be a complete film'. 'It will satisfy both the class and mass audiences', he added. Now that heightens the expectations.
Simbu in 'Thiru Podaa, Thirumathi Podi
Silambarasan, who is currently touring Canada to finalize locations for his forthcoming film 'Thiru Podaa, Thirumathi Podi' ' the Dandanakka Couple, called on Ran Stevenson, the Mayor of Olivia to seek his cooperation. According to the director of the film Vignesh Shiva (a school buddy of Simbu), the Mayor was surprised to know that Simbu is a multifaceted personality and assured his cooperation with the shoot of 'Thiru Poda, Thirumathi Podi'. When asked about the film, Shiva said, 'this is not a Simbu kind of action flick, but a totally different script which would require a lot of effort from him.' Jointly produced by Gemini Film Circuit and Shanaya Telefilms (P) Ltd. (producers of Hindi films 'Champion' and 'Supari'), the film commences shooting from the 15th of August for a period of 60 days in just one schedule in its entirety in Canada. Grapevine has it that Sarathkumar's daughter Varalakshmi would be introduced as heroine. Dharan is scoring the music for the film.
Nayanthara prays at Tirupati
The star actress Nayantara, who has come back to films after a while offered special prayers to lord Venkateshwara in Tirupati. Nayan has taken the early flight to Tirupati and drove back finishing up her darshan. The temple committee seems received her on Wednesday, as were intimated before. Being the mid-week there was no crowd and Billa actress reported to have performed special pujas in the temple. The diva is currently busy signing the dotted lines and reading various different scripts. Nayantara is going to enact in Nagarjuna’s film that will be directed by Dasarath in Tollywood. Coming to Kollywood the actress has signed Ajith and Arya starrer with director Vishnuvardhan and a film with Boopathipandian that stars Gopi Chand, baddie of Jayam in the lead.
