The release of Dhanush's Thodari has been continuously getting postponed due to several reasons including the delay in completing the post production works, and the actor has now officially announced the new release date. The film has been censored with clean U certificate yesterday and it will hit the screens on 22nd September.Directed by Kumki fame Prabhu Soloman, the plot of the film is inspired from a real life incidents happened during a train journey.Keerthy Suresh plays the lead heroine, and this is the first time she will be sharing screen space with Dhanush.

Dhanush has completed shooting and dubbing for 'Thodari' directed by Prabhu Solomon. The film's trailer and songs released a few weeks ago while there was no information about the theatrical release date, though it is being said that the film was ready long back. Now Dhanush has confirmed that 'Thodari' will most probably release on July 29 or August 5. The official announcement on the release date will be made only after the release of the much expected biggie 'Kabali' starring Superstar and Dhanush's father-in-law Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte in lead roles. 'Kabali' is expected to hit the screens by July 15 but there is no official word yet on the release plans. 'Thodari' stars Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. The cast also includes Pooja Jhaveri, Ganesh Venkatraman, Harish Uthaman, Thambi Ramaiah, Radharavi and Karunakaran. Dhanush plays a Pantry worker in the movie and the major portions of the film has been shot in and around a train. The shooting for the film is already over and the actor has just started to dub for the movie today.
