Nivetha Pethuraj after her debut film Oru Naal Koothu has signed two films. Podhuvaaga En Manasu Thangam with Udhayanidhi Stalin and Tik Tik Tik with Jayam Ravi. Out of this, Tik Tik Tik under the direction of Shakthi Sounderrajan begins tomorrow (19th October). Nivetha states, “I am excited to begin my shoot for Tik Tik Tik from tomorrow. I have been working out a lot for the fit, but not thin look for my role in the film. I have been taking my lessons from fitness trainer Bharath who had trained Vikram and Vishal. I was on a strict diet and heavy work outs. I am very keen that I bring in lots of variation with every character I do in terms of looks and mannerisms. We are beginning the shoot from tomorrow in Chennai and later will be moving to Munnar”. As regards Udhay’s film, Nivetha updates, “We have completed one schedule which went on for over 15 days. We would soon begin our next schedule in December which is likely to go for 30 days. I saw the outcome of what we shot and I can say the film has come out so well and I am 100 % sure of its commercial success. It was wonderful to shoot with Udhay sir. He is a thorough professional. Even if there is a lengthy dialogue, he will just say it in a jiffy. His dance moves are all superb. Every day, there used to be a competition of sorts between me, Udhay sir and Soori anna as to who will come first to the shooting spot. Udhay sir always beat us by two minutes”.
Tik Tik Tik for Jayam Ravi
We have Director Shakthi Soundar Rajan, the man behind Kollywood's first zombies film Miruthan, is once again wielding the megaphone for an experimental script. This time, his film will be a space film similar to Gravity and Interstellar with Jayam Ravi playing the lead. The latest is that the film is titled as Tik Tik Tik and it will be a race against the time. The actor will be playing the role of a local thief based in North Madras in this thriller, which will be bankrolled by Hitesh Jabak under his banner Nemichand Jhabak. Said to be a big budget thriller, the team is also planning to erect huge set for the film in Chennai.

Nivetha Pethuraj, the smart beauty who forayed into K Town with Nelson Venkatesan’s Oru Naal Koothu has signed on Udhayanidhi Stalin-Thalapathy film titled as Podhuvaaga En Manasu Thangam. She also would be the leading lady in Shakthi Sounderrajan-Jayam Ravi venture Tik Tik Tik. Sharing her excitement, Nivetha says, “It is a space film. I will be playing a strong role, which will be very different. This is India’s first space film and hence everything will be different in this. I heard the one-liner of this story and accepted it. I had watched Shakthi sir’s Miruthan and am confident about him. It is going to be an overall family entertainer. I will be shooting for Udhay sir’s project from October 1st. Right now I will be focusing on these two films only. Until I finish these, I am not going to take up any other project. These two would be a sort of lead for me. I am very grateful to God for leading me in the right direction. I feel privileged that directors chose me among so many other girls. I am happy and I am rising tik tik tik!!!”
Jayam Ravi Introduces his Son in Tik Tik Tik
Actors bring their sons into cinema industry in trivial roles so that they could make their debut in the future. Vijay’s son and daughter have already made their appearance. Similarly, Jayam Ravi is going to bring his son onboard in his upcoming film Tik Tik Tik. Sakthi Soundarjan, the director has made unique films with Jayam Ravi and the upcoming movie is a thriller based on space exploration. It is going to be another unique experiment after his zombie film. Music director D Imman who saw the teaser was impressed. Jayam Ravi’s son Jones will make his debut in Tik Tik Tik but his role is not known yet.
