The release of Tom, Dick and Harry has been pushed by a couple of weeks but that doesn't really deter the film's co-producer Surendra Bhatia. Has the film been pushed due to the pressure of simultaneous release of 'Pyare Mohan' that has similar characters? "No not at all! - the producer says, "Pyare Mohan has never been the reason for any worry. Their movie is different and ours different. In fact the film has been postponed because of certain issues we faced during the film's distribution. The film was earlier picked up by RELIANCE ENTERTAINMENT but there were certain issues that cropped up due to the way a corporate distribution house works. There are many people involved there in taking a decision and one has to move from one level to another before someone ultimately approves a product. Now finally things have worked out with SHREE ASHTAVINAYAK CINE VISION LTD. who would be distributing the film all over. We are extremely happy with that because the distribution house has a great track record and now TDH would now come either on 5th or 12th May!" But there have been rumors all around that 'Tom, Dick and Harry' and 'Pyare Mohan' deal with the subject? "I don't know why people have to say that?", he says with amusement in his tone, "So what is they if a deaf and a blind guy, we have a dumb person to add to the fun! Moreover every film has heroes but that doesn't mean they are all same. Here the characters may seem similar but the plot is completely different." On asked about the popularity of the songs, he signs off by saying, "Yes, songs have really grown with 'Jhoom Jhoom' being a terrific hit. Now these extra 2-3 weeks in the film's release will only allow the promotion of other good songs in the film! We are confident about our film and music and sure that Tom Dick and Harry would be successful on its release!"
"TOM DICK AND HARRY sequel is a laugh riot" - Nisha Rawal
Her debut film HASTEY HASTEY may not have really brought smiles on the face of Nisha Rawal while follow up project RAFOO CHAKKAR too failed to make an impact. However, she is hardly complaining. In fact she doesn't have much time to complain since she is now getting ready for the release of her next film TOM DICK AND HARRY ROCK AGAIN. "It has been a crazy experience working on TOM DICK AND HARRY ROCK AGAIN. It was fun to watch TOM DICK AND HARRY and I can already see that the sequel is turning out to be a laugh riot as well", says Nisha who has been paired opposite singer/composer turned actor Mika in the film. While Mika plays the role of Dick in the film, Tom's part is enacted by Suresh Menon. "I have shot for a promotional number with Mika for the film and it's a complete freak out song. It is made for the masses", exclaims Nisha who has forever been known as the 'Chanda Ki Doli' girl (remember the music video with Sonu Nigam?) Apart from TOM DICK AND HARRY ROCK AGAIN, Nisha has also shot for JACK N JHOL which would be released soon.
After TOM DICK and HARRY, RAMA RAMA.....
After making an erotic thriller FUN-CAN BE DANGEROUS SOMETIMES and musical comedy TOM, DICK AND HARRY, producer Surendra Bhatia of Oracle Entertainment Pvt Ltd. is back with his latest comedy RAMA RAMA KYA HAI DRAMA. Earlier titled KUCH LUV KUCH DRAMA, the film stars Aashish Chaudhary and Rajpal Yadav in the lead who are paired with Amrita Arora and Neha Dhupia respectively. The film is a situational comedy and also features Amupam Kher and Rati Agnihotri as a couple. Directed by Chandrakant Singh, the film is aiming for a 14th December release.
Pyaare Mohan and Tom Dick And Harry on same day?
Now this is one contest that would be eagerly looked forward to at the box office. There are indications that both 'Pyaare Mohan' and 'Tom, Dick and Harry' would be released on the same Friday i.e. April 21. As everyone must be aware, both the films are comedies and have the principal characters as physically impaired. While 'Pyaare' and 'Mohan' are deaf and blind, 'Tom, Dick and Harry' take it a step further by including a mute man too in the team. Though on paper, the starcast of 'Pyaare Mohan' appears to be a little better with Fardeen Khan and Vivek Oberoi in the wings, 'Tom, Dick and Harry' too is not far behind with Dino Morea catching up fast along with the reliable Jimmy Shergill. Though Inder Kumar has a great record in the past with 'Masti' being his most recent success, Deepak Tijori is still waiting for an elusive hit after the triple failure of 'Oops', 'Khamosh' and 'Fareb'. But when one compares the prospects of 'Pyaare Mohan' and 'Tom Dick and Harry', the latter just holds a little edge due to hit music and terrific promotion [both songs and talkie portions] that make it one of the most sought after film.
Deepak Tijori strikes finally with Tom, Dick, Harry and Himesh
Finally it took four men to get Deepak Tijori an elusive hit, and each of them gave their all to make 'Tom Dick and Harry' a success. After a hat trick of flops in the form of 'Oops' [drama], 'Khamosh' [thriller] and 'Fareb' [drama], Tijori is now laughing along with the audience for his latest film that belongs to the comic genre. Himesh Reshammiya, Dino Morea, Jimmy Shergill and Anuj Sawhney made it possible for the medium budgeted 'Tom Dick and Harry' to comfortably sail through at the box office. Celina Jaitley and Kim Sharma indeed added to the glamour quotient but it was primarily the strength of his male leads [and composer/singer] that has brought a smile on Deepak Tijori's face. The movie is now en route to reap in profits based on the sheer strength of first week collections.
Tom Dick Harry looks highly promising
As the April release date of Deepak Tijori's 'Tom Dick And Harry' arrives closer, the curiosity about the movie continues to build up leaps and bounds. When launched around an year back, no one would have expected this small movie starring the likes of Dino Morea, Jimmy Shergill and Anuj Sawhney to become one of the most sought movies this summer. But that's indeed the case now with TDH being the first major release post commencement of school and college exams in India. Not just 'Jhoom Jhoom' by Reshammiya, but even the talkie promos of the movie has done the tricks with the funny elements being projected just in the right quantity in one minute clippings. The antics of principal starcast along with Gulshan Grover promise a hilarious outing and one can be sure that TDH is going to be another 'masti and dhamaal' this season. Watch out for this movie that has everything in it to be a bumper success when it releases. And remember that you read it here first!
