U, Me, Aur Hum: An ode to love

Ajay Devgan & his beautiful wife Kajol are all set to entertain us once again. And this time it is going to be a love story. This real life couple is all set to entertain us in reel life too yet again! But Mr. Devgan do you think your timing on making this movie is right? 'People keep asking me how I decided that this was the right time to direct my own film. To be honest, I don't really know if this is the right time or not, but I know that this is a story I wanted to tell. A story I believed in. And felt strongly about. As they say, one from the heart.' But there are so many other genres that you could make a story from, is there a particular reason for choosing this one? 'I can list many reasons, but the most important, and the primary reason for me to want to make this film, is its positivity. I've noticed that people these days have become more cynical and less optimistic than before. They tend to naturally have a negative outlook about things. Especially with regards to love, relationships, feelings, marriage. My question is - where has all our romance gone? Why this obsession with rationale? Why do we hesitate to accept that it is possible, that deep within, one soul makes a connection with another ' instinctively, impulsively, immediately?' Do you believe in the love? Love at first sight. Happy marriages. Soulmates. These are concepts I believe in. I know that they exist. And as a result, they are important elements of my film. What is it that you want to tell through 'U, Me Aur Hum' This film is not made with the intention of being a sermon about relationships. Nor is it made to prove my talent as a director. And it is definitely not my intention to change the way people think or live their lives. A film is meant to entertain you. To give you your money's worth. To give you a good time, at least as long as it lasts. And that is what I have set out to do. I hope I succeed. And in addition to entertaining you, if it makes you just spare a thought about the state of your relationship, or encourage you to make an improvement in it, then my success will be so much greater. With all the ingredients for a successful movie right in place lets us see if 'U, Me aur Hum' will hit the right chord among the audience.

U,Me Aur Hum gives Rakesh Roshan hiccups

Ajay Devgan's directorial debut U,Me Aur Hum has already been creating the required buzz. The movie will see Ajay Devgan and wife Kajol come together after Raju Chacha. The expectations from this film have been running high right from the nascent stage. The film which is set to release in April has given other films releasing in the very same month jitters. The dates of Devgan's venture will see a clash with Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4. It has been reported that Rakesh Roshan has been in talks with Ajay, requesting him to push forward the film by a week or so. Roshan wants to stick to April 11 and wants his film to be the solo release during that week. However, Devgan too has been insisting an April 11 release. Devgan states that he has a strategy in place that would prove vital for the promotion of the film. Thus, postponing the film would create a complete mess. Now, it's quite surprising that Rakesh Roshan fears Devgan's directorial debut even after backing the film up with a good star cast and item numbers by Hrithik and Shahrukh. Great going Ajay!

The love story was released on April 11 has Ajay himself and Wife Kajol in the lead roles. The movie didn't fail to impress the audience and reminded the audience of the star couple's super hit film 'Pyar To Hona Hi Tha' that showed the great on screen chemistry of the two stars.

U S Consul appreciates Mozhi

U S Consul General David T. Hopper has appreciated Prakash Raj's home production Mozhi. In a letter written by Hopper to Prakash Raj, he has said that the Mozhi with English subtitle was pleasant to watch. In the letter Hopper has said "On behalf of the staff and families of the Consulate General here, I wish to thank you for a most enjoyable evening on Friday, April 27. We especially appreciate your gesture in being there for the commencement of the show amidst challenged American community, and painstakingly and personally doing the subtitling for us. It was very well done and helped me and others truly appreciate the excellent screenplay". And he adds, "My Indian colleagues tell me that this is the best movie viewed by them in the recent past - their enjoyment of it was palpable that evening. Post movie small talk tells me that people were most impressed by the superb choice of every single actor - however small the role. The movie, contrary to standard practice, was not carried solely on the strength of the main hero and heroine. I wish you success for screening of the film at Cannes and in Los Angeles". Another jewel in Prakash Raj's Crown.
