Ajai was to act in another home production Tahige Takka Maga after Krishna-Leela. But since director Shashank is busy in Mungaru Male 2, Ajai has decided to do this movie in the meantime. The shooting for the film will start in August. The agreement for the film was signed on Friday evening.
Uday Bipasha team up again with D:2
Last time when Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu came together, they shared a love-hate relationship. They lived in for a while, broke up to become thickest friends ever and finally re-united to become close once again. The film was 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai', which was incidentally directed by Sanjay Gadhavi, the same man who first made 'Dhoom' and is now ready with "Dhoom:2". History repeats itself as Uday and Bipasha would be sharing the frame once again as the garage owner turned police officer Ali falls heads over heels love with another ACP in the force, Shonali. Will the ever flirtatious Uday get a girl for him to bring home to Mummy? Well, he is trying that in a big way as he tries to serenade Bipasha with 'My Name Is Ali', which takes over from where 'Dilbara' left a couple of years back!
Uday has to wait
Abaddam was the film that was to decide on the fate of Uday Kiran's career. The movie is completed and is all ready. But it is not making to the theaters. Why? well, it is a question that has to be posed to the film's producer Prakash Raj. The movie, by all accounts, has turned out very well. It stars Uday and newcomer Vimala in the leads. K Balachander, the veteran Tamil director, has handled the film. Vidyasagar has scored the music. But the news is that Abaddam, which has been made as Poi in Tamil, is being held up as because the neighboring State is on the throes of an election fever. The State is going for Assembly polls on May 8. With all the energies focused on polls, Prakash Raj does not want to risk a release now, sources say. 'It is up to Prakash Raj to decide on when to release the movie,' shrugs the director. Since Prakash Raj is not releasing Poi now, Abaddam too has to wait. And Uday too has to wait to know his fate.
Uday Kiran bereaved
Uday Kiran is already tensed up with the fact that his Abaddam, a movie that can decide the fate of his career, has been delayed. Now a bigger tragedy has struck him. His mother who was on a pilgrimage to Kurukshetra died of intense heat and sun stroke. She was 54. Our heart goes out to the young hero.
Udaykiran to play hero in Deviprasad's direction
Udaykiran, who earned fame and gained lover boy image with his films like 'Chitram, Nuvvu-Nenu and Manasantha Nuvve' had taken a long gap in Telugu films and became busy in Tamil industry. More details on the film are awaited.
Uday Kiran returns to Tollywood
After 'Avunanna Kadanna' Uday Kiran kept himself away from films for some time. Though he played in one of the films in Tamil directed by Balachander. However, it is reliably learnt that opportunity knocked Uday Kiran's door in the form of Lagadapati Sridhar. If everything goes well, Sridhar is planning to do a film with Uday Kiran on the banner of Larsco Entertainments. Titled as 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu', the film to be directed by E Sattibabu will have Srihari in a key role. Story discussions besides the selection of other cast and technicians are in progress. The shooting is most likely to begin in October.
