Udhayanidhi lauds Vijay
Udhayanidhi Stalin, grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, heaps laurels on Vijay. 'It's a nice experience for me to work with Vijay. Since 'Kuruvi' being my first production, he taught me many things. He is simple, adorable and affectionate', says Udhayanidhi. 'Kuruvi', directed by Dharani features Vijay, Trisha, Suman among others in the cast. Vidyasagar scores the music. 'Vijay and director Dharani proved themselves successful in 'Ghilli'. We just want to repeat the magic. The script is interesting, catchy and racy. Hope everything comes out well.' It is worth recalling that Udhayanidhi was very particular about the choice of hero in his maiden venture as producer. He was ready to wait for any long to have Vijay as the hero.
Udhayanidhi's next has Vishal!
The music of Vijay-Trisha starrer 'Kuruvi' is selling like hot cakes in the market. The audio was launched last week. The film features typical Vijay kinda songs with slow numbers, racy tracks and 'kuthu' songs; just the right mix to please any Vijay fan! Vidyasagar has done justice to all the six songs that feature in the album. The film has been directed by Dharani and produced by Udhayanidhi, the grandson of Dr. Kalainger. Even before the release of 'Kuruvi' the producer has decided on his next project. Reports indicate that Udhayanidhi has announced his next film with director Tamil Vaanan. This director has films like 'Kalavanin Kadhali' and 'Machakkaran' to his credit. The lead role for this yet untitled film will be played by the tall, dark and ruggedly handsome Vishal! Udhayathara in Cheran's 'Autograph 2'
Cheran is contemplating to cast Mollywood lass Udhayathara for 'Autograph-2', a sequel to his blockbuster 'Autograph'. Two characters of 'Autograph' Gopika and Kaniga, will not be a part of the sequel as the former is entering wedlock soon and the latter has already entered it. Looks like Cheran will be finding replacements for the characters and probably, that is how Udhayathara will be fitting into the scheme of things. Navya Nair has been already cast in the sequel, while Sneha who was part of the original, has also agreed to star in the new version. 'Autograph', which consolidated Cheran as hero, went on to become a stupendous hit. The retro classic swept many awards at several film festivals. Udhayathara is in the process of rising to fame in Tamil filmdom and has already completed 'Thee Nagar' starring Karan and 'Kannum Kannum' with Prasanna. She has reportedly expressed her delight to be part of 'Autograph 2'. Once Cheran completes 'Raman Thediya Seethai', he is expected to revisit the story that took him to dizzy heights.
Udhayathara, Karan pair up again
After a debacle in 'Thee', Karan and Udhayathara come together again for their next film titled 'Malayan'. A debutant Shammu plays the second fiddle. Produced by Balasubramaniam, the movie is directed by S Gopi who was an erstwhile associate of S A Chandrasekhar. Karan plays an employee in an industry and champions the cause of the workers there. Dheena has scored music while the cast includes Sarath Babu, Mayilsamy, Balasingh among others. A song was shot recently in grand sets and traditional folk dances of Tamilnadu were enacted. According to Karan, 'it is an earthy film. I am hopeful that it would reach out well to the masses. The title too is very catchy'.
Udhayanidhi Stalin meets Suriya for the next
The after effects of recent IT raids on Suriya, K S Ravikumar and Vadivelu assets which rattled the Tamil film industry is not ending. News were floating that the man behind the raids is Udhayanidhi Stalin because the stars were pressurising the producer to settle their dues for ‘Aadhavan’ which is a Udhayanidhi production. As all the people who endured were associated with ‘Aadhavan’ rumours grew many folds. To clear the air Udhayanidhi Stalin met Suriya personally at his home and explained his side of the story. Udhayanidhi categorically said that the rumours in the media are not true to an iota and he had no reason what so ever to do it because the same ‘Aadhavan’ team will be working for his next project as well. Now the water gets even murkier.
