After facing major hiccups the film 'Ugadi' starring dream merchant of Kannada cinema V.Ravichandran, Jennifer Kotwal, Srikanth and Kamna Jethmalani in lead roles this Om Sai Prakash directed remake film is ready with the first print. Recently the producers of the film Praveen, Venkatesh and Ganesh took the first print to get blessings for the film to Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Temple. Later they went to meet the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala Sri Veerendra Heggade for blessings. Looking for right theatres for 'Ugadi' the producers are fully confident that the film will do very well at the box office. R.P.Patnayak has retained some of the tunes what he scored for original film 'Santosham'.
Ugadi launch for Charmme and Srikant
Come the Telugu New Year's day and Srikant and Charmme will start acting in a film that will be produced by the Ramanaidu Productions. The same has been confirmed say the tinsel ville insiders. But the film will be formally launched on Ugadi. Surya Teja, who had directed Neeke Manasicchanu will be directing them. Given that Srikant has tried action in Nagaram and Charmme is the hottest heroine in Bollywood, we wonder what plot Teja comes up with for both of them.
Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu slated for Ugadi release
Pawan Kalyan is presently working on the movie “Katamarayudu” which is being directed by Dolly. The shooting of the movie is presently going on at a very brisk pace and the sources suggest that Power Star will most likely shoot for two of his movies at the same time. The other movie Pawan Kalyan has signed for will be directed by Trivikram. It is also said that the actor has also decided to complete the shoots separately one at a time. He wants to complete the shooting for Katamarayudu by Sankranti after which he would start the shooting for Trivikram’s movie. The movie Katamarayudu will be released for Ugadi. The movie has Shruti Haasan as the female lead and the music for the movie is being composed by Anup Rubens.
Srikanth’s Mahatma as best feature film in Ugadi Puraskaralu
Hero Srikanth’s 100th film ‘Mahatma’ under the direction of Krishna Vamsi which was released in the year 2009 received an award for ‘Best Feature Film’ in Ugadi Puraskaralu. It is being presented by Chennai Telugu Association’s ‘Sri Kalasudha’. The association president Chethi Reddy Srinivas has announced that Mahatma has been selected as Best Feature Film because of its concept which is related to social values and Srikanth won the Best Actor award for the same film. Hero Srikanth said, “It is a great honor to receive an award for my 100th film”. CR Manohar, the producer of Mahatma said, “I am very happy to receive an award for my very first film that I made under Golden Lion Films banner. This is giving me to boost to make many more good films in the near future. I am also happy to note that my friend Srikanth and I are going to receive the awards on the same Dais. On this occasion I thank director Krishna Vamsi for giving us the best film.”
