Critically acclaimed director Selvaraghavan is currently busy with the post-production activities of Irandam Ulagam, his forthcoming film featuring Arya and Anushka in the lead roles. The Period film is undergoing its VFX works by a Mumbai based company. Meanwhile, Selvaraghavan has clarified on the buzz making rounds on the internet regarding the film being the genre of Avatar. The director clarified on the rumors denying the news that Irandam Ulagam that it wouldn’t be like Avatar. “why I have to make movies like avatar or a.o.? They have already been made,” said Selva. “All I could say about #IrandamUlagam is this should be the most entertaining film I've ever done. Just have fun,” Selvaraghavan further added. Harris Jayaraj composed the tunes and the audio will be unveiled on August 3.
Irandam Ulagam audio release on Aug 4
Selvaraghavan directed fantasy film Irandam Ulagam is undergoing post production works and the makers are planning to launch the audio composed by Harris Jayaraj on 4th of Aug. Irandam Ulagam marks the first time teaming up of Harris Jayaraj, Arya, Selvaraghavan and Anushka with each other. Music album of Irandam Ulagam is expected to be a feast to music lovers, keeping in mind the BGM importance in the films of Selvaraghavan. Starred by Arya and Anushka in the lead roles, Irandam Ulagam is first movie of its type and has the lead pair in dual roles. PVP Cinemas has produced Irandam Ulagam and the audio distribution rights are snapped by Sony Music. Makers are planning a sparkling event for Irandam Ulagam audio launch on Aug 4th with the presence of whos and whos of Kollywood.
MGR's 'Ulagam Sutrum Valiban' returns in style
Yesteryear blockbuster 'Ulagam Sutrum Valiban' starring MGR is all set to revisit theaters in grand style. MGR himself produced the film in 1973 and played dual roles in it. Manjula featured as the heroine. Music was scored by M.S.Viswanathan and the movie went on to become a tremendous hit. The songs and quite a number of scenes were shot abroad in places such as Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. To compete with contemporary films and to showcase it to modern audiences the film is being digitized to bring about cinemascope viewing. The songs are being converted to the DTS format and the climax stunt scenes are being spiced up with computer generated imagery and special effects. The film is set for release in October with 50 prints. The whole idea has been conceptualized by Diamond films and plans are on to do the same technical enhancements for the classics 'Nadodi Mannan' and 'Adimai Penn'. It sure will be refreshing to see these films storm theaters as fresh theatrical releases.
Irandam Ullagam release on 9th August
Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam starring Arya and Anushka in the lead roles is set for a grand scale release on August 9. PVP Cinemas are aiming for Eid festival release. Prasad V Potluri produced the film. Harris Jayaraj composed musical scores will be unveiled in July first week. The dubbing works of the film have almost been completed and the post-production works had reached the final leg. The romantic drama showcases Arya playing the role of IIT professor and Anushka as his love interest. The expectations on Irandam Ulagam are quite high and extensive CG works of the film caused in delay of the film release.
'TharaLocal' for Dhanush, 'Ulaga TharaLocal' for Vijay
Young music director G.V.Prakash is working for a Vijay’s 59th film and it is his second with the super star after ‘Thalaivaa’. G.V. is all excited about this project and was the first to hint about the possible coming up of Vijay and Atlee for this film and he will be scoring the music for it. Once the project for confirmed, he said he will definitely make Vijay sing a song or two in the album as a treat to the fans of ‘Ilayathalapathy’. In the meantime the ‘Thara local’ song composed by Anirudh Ravichander for actor Dhanush’s recent super hit film ‘Maari’ has become a huge hit. This seems to have had an effect on the ‘Vijay 59’ team and now GVP is reportedly composing an ultimate Kuthu song in gana style and the sources claim that it will be ‘Ulaga Thara Local’. It is more likely that the ‘Ulaga Thara Local’ song will be crooned by none other than Vijay. Once the news about this broke out, Vijay fans have created the hash tag #Ulaga TharaLocal and filling the social media space with messages conveying their expectation for the song.
Irandam Ulagam getting ready for Censor
Selvaraghavan’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Irandam Ulagam / Varna first copy will be ready by this month end. Makers of Arya and Anushka starring Irandam Ulagam have confirmed the release date. Epic movie Irandam Ulagam post productions locked up and first copy of the film will be submitted to the censor board in the1st week of November. Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinemas banner producing Irandam Ulagam release is confirmed on November 22. Sun Pictures will be distributing Irandam Ulagam with music by Harris Jayaraj and BGM by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ramji has handled cinematography editing is done by Kola Bhaskar among technical crew.
