Directed by Jeeva and produced by Oscar V. Ravichandran for Oscar Films, Unnale Unnale stars debutant Vinay, Sada and Tanisha in the lead roles. On the film, Jeeva says, 'This is a love story which I have attempted to show in a different light. It is about how two contrasting characters come together. This story is something that everyone can relate to, you will certainly identify yourself or someone you know, with this story,' says Jeeva. Vinay, the hero, is from Bangalore. Sada and Kajol's sister Tanisha play the female leads. The story is woven intricately around the three. Raju Sundaram, Satish and Srinath have played cameos in this film. Almost 70% of the film has been shot in Australia and the rest, in Chennai. Presently, the post-production works are going on for this film, which has seven songs including two bit songs, composed by music director Harris Jayaraj. Of these, Vaali has penned the lyrics for two songs while Pa. Vijay has written the rest of the lyrics.
Unnalae Unnalae ready to weave romantic web
Cinematographer-director Jeeva has completed shooting for his Unnale Unnale and is all geared up to release the movie this February. The movie featuring newcomer Vinay also features Sadha and Bollywood actress Kajol's sister Tanisha in the lead cast. Says Jeeva, 'The post-production works are getting over. The major highlight of the movie would be the dubbing voice for Tanisha. I tried several voices for her. Unfortunately nothing worked out as I had expected. Finally I happened to hear playback singer Chinmayee's song from an album. Immediately impressed, I urged her to dub for Tanisha.' Already the songs of Unnale Unnale, set to tunes by Harris Jayaraj, are popular among the music-lovers. Close on the release of Unnalae Unnalae, Jeeva will commence work for his next Dham Dhoom featuring Jeyam Ravi as hero.
Unnale Unnale for Tamil New Year
Get ready to welcome Unnale Unnale this Tamil New Year day. The movie directed by Jeeva starring debutant Vinay opposite Sada and Tanisha (Kajol's sister) is finally ready to hit the screens this Tamil New Years' day. Produced by Oscar Ravichandran, the movie is supposedly a youthful entertainer. With all the post-production works over and the songs composed by Harris Jeyaraj already topping the charts, Oscar Ravichandran contemplates that a release this summer would help the movie put up a good show at the box office. According to Jeeva, 'We have shot the entire movie in Melbourne. It is a sequence of events that occur between three youngsters.' Jeeva's last, Ullam Ketkumae also dealt with romance and won the support of youngsters. Jeeva adds, 'It is not a routine Tamil film that centers on a hero or the heroine. All the three characters in my film have equal importance. It is basically a sequence of events that follows a blame game.'
Unnale Unnale promises clean fare
Cinematographer ' director Jeeva has always had a penchant for youthful entertainers. His earlier films including 12B and Ullam Ketkumae successfully wooed the younger generation. His forthcoming release Unnale Unnale would be no different. Touted as a youthful entertainer, the movie features a team of youngsters coming together. A debutant, Vinay, plays the lead role with Tanisha (Kajol's sister) and Sada giving him company. Set for release on 14 April, the movie's trailer and promos have already won appreciation. The songs tuned by Harris Jayaraj have made it to audio charts. Opening in over half-a-dozen screens in Chennai city, the movie is produced by Oscar Ravichandran. Says Jeeva,'We are confident that the movie would be a different viewing experience for the present generation. The swift narration and excellent back ground score coupled with a stunning performance by the star cast would come handy'.
