Trivikram Srinivas is currently very much busy with the pre production work and casting process of his next film with Pawan Kalyan. Already we have seen films like Jalsa and Atharintiki Daredi in the combination. Now, another film is in the offing. The project was announced officially. Haarika And Haasinee Creations will be bankrolling the film. There is a very good positive buzz on the project now.As per the latest buzz in the film nagar, it is now heard that Veteran actor Upendra is in talks to play a crucial role in Trivikram’s next directorial which will feature Pawan Kalyan. Already Upendra made his comeback to Telugu cinema with Son of Satyamurthy and now this is another interesting move now. Along with Upendra, Boman Irani and Kushboo will also be seen playing other prominent roles. Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emannuel are the female leads. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer and S Radha Krishna is the producer.
Upendra comes to Tamil
Upendra makes his foray in Tamil with Vishal starrer Sathyam.The movie to be directed by Rajasekar features Vishal in the role of a tough and an honest cop. Buzz is that Upendra, the numero uno hero in Kannada film industry, has been convinced to play a baddie in the movie. Also for the first time Nayantara will shake her legs with Vishal. The Malluwood lass, who after Vallavan, stayed away from Tamil cinema is on a signing spree. She plays the heroine in Ajit's Billa, Dhanush's Yaradi Nee Mohini and now Vishal starrer Sathyam. Noted cinematographer R D Rajasekhar cranks the camera and music is by Harris Jayaraj.
Upendra Give Dates To K Manju
Producer K Manju who is lying low off late, is all set to make a bang again. This time the senior producer has got the call sheet of Upendra and is is likely to start a film with him soon. Another highlight of the film is, it will be directed by Uppi's long time friend and associate Loki who had earlier directed Upendra in 'H20' along with Rajaram. After that Loki directed only one film called 'Thabbali' which was also a disaster at the box-office. Though much details about the film has not yet divulged, it is being said that Upendra has accepted the film for Loki and will be launched soon. Upendra's favourite cameraman H C Venu and music director Arjun Janya will be the part of the film. The story, title and the cast and crew of the film is yet to be finalised.
Upendra and Team Shooting in Thailand
Just last month, Upendra shot for a special fight sequence for the film Brahma in Malaysia. Now, he is in Thailand to shoot for his other untitled movie produced by CR Mohanar and directed by Srinivas Raju. Upendra, Ragini, Vinayaka Joshi and a team of 30 cast and crew members are shooting in the harbour, old airport and other locations for the film. The film does not have a title now after both the names chosen for it ran into controversy. The controversy over the two names; Basavanna and Brahmana, were even talked about in the Karnataka Assembly. But the film team has overcome this difficulty by giving up those names. A new name is yet to be chosen but by then, one more schedule of shooting will be completed in Thailand. The first schedule was completed in Mysore earlier. Ragini had injured her knee while training in Bangalore for the film's action scenes. However, she has recovered enough to be part of the shooting now.
Upendra To Remake Nagarjuna's Soggade Chinni Nayana
Upendra will reportedly star in the Kannada remake of Telugu blockbuster Soggade Chinni Nayana. "The remake rights have been acquired and Upendra also plans to direct it, besides playing the lead. The project is expected to go on the floors in a couple of months," a source close to the Kannada superstar revealed. Soggade Chinni Nayana, one of the biggest blockbusters of this year so far, featured Akkineni Nagarjuna in dual roles. Directed by Kalyan Krishna, the film also starred Lavanya Tripathi and Ramya Krishnan. Having raked in over Rs.75 crore at the ticket window, Nagarjuna and director Krishna have already announced a sequel. In the film, Nagarjuna played a ghost and horror angle worked quite well in the film's favour. Upendra, meanwhile, has started working for another remake, Oh My God, also starring Sudeep.
Excited Upendra on 'Sathyam'
Popular Kannada actor Upendra is upbeat about his maiden Tamil venture 'Sathyam'. Playing an important role in the movie which stars Vishal in the lead role, the movie is directed by debutant Rajasekhar. Not keen to divulge details about his role in the film, Upendra says, 'I have always marveled at the grandeur in the Tamil film industry. People strive for perfection here. Any actor will be tempted to act in a Tamil movie.' Upendra, who hogged the limelight in the Kannada film industry doing movies like 'A', 'Sshh', 'Om' and 'H2o', is confident that 'Sathyam' will give him the right break in Tamil cinema. Asked to comment on the differences between Tamil and Kannada film industry, he says, ' there is no friction between Tamil and Kannada film industries as is being portrayed in a section of the media. There are external forces which are trying to create a divide.' "There is a desire to act in Tamil films", he says but hastens to add, "but I am not in a hurry. I will weigh the offers cautiously".
