Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav, who met with the team earlier this month, said that the decision will be implemented with immediate effect. Elated and overjoyed, actor and producer of Sarbjit, Jackky Bhagnani, said, "From day one, we have all believed that Sarbjit is a story that needed to be told. It's our labour of love and the team and I are humbled by Akhilesh Yadav's kind gesture.
