Vaanam producer Ganesh is planning to launch the Vaanam audio launch in London. He is planning to make audio launch as a very big event. Earlier Ganesh and Gautham launched the audio of VTV in London, a memorable event which got huge attention by media. Ganesh produced the movie Vaanam and he wants the movie to be the one of the biggest hits of the year. We knew from the sources that A.R Rahman is also attending this event. The multi starrer movie is directed by Krish which has Silambarasan, Bharath, Prakash Raj, Anushka, Sonia Agarwal and Vega in the lead roles. Music director of the movie is Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Vaanam shooting in Hyderabad
The shooting of Simbu starrer Vaanam is currently on heels of completion. Almost 90% shooting got wrapped up along with the talkie part. Vaanam is right now left with only one song which is being shot in Hyderabad. The film is the remake version of critically acclaimed Telugu film Vedam. Simbu’s role in the film is titled as Cable Raju which has given him a greater scope for performance. Anushka is also playing a lead role in Vaanam. Jasmine, Bharath, Vega, Sonia Aggarwal and Prakash Raj are in prominent roles. A mass kuthu song has been picturised on Simbu and Anushka which will be an added essence for the film. Director Krish who made the Telugu version is working for the Tamil version too and he made some changes in the script by adding some Tamil flavor. Vaanam is shaping under the banner of Super Good Movies of R.B. Chowdary. Vaanam's music release is on March 14, 2011 and the film is scheduled for its release in April.
Vaanam’s single track choreography costs 25 lakhs
The audio of Vaanam which was released a week ago has seen stupendous success as all the songs are peppy and dancing numbers. The shooting of Vaanam has finished recently with the final song composed on Simbu and Anushka. The single track of Vaanam which received a great response is still topping the charts. Though the track Yevende Unna pethan doesn’t carry any inner meaning but its sure going to set fire on big screens with Simbu’s dance moves. The specialty of the song is that it’s being choreographed by Bollywood ace dance choreographer Ahmed Khan. To our surprise he has charged a whopping amount of Rs 25lakhs just for this song. While many choreographers in Kollywood are charging approximately two lakhs rupees for choreographing a song in the film. Now the eagerness has been increased more and waiting for the film to hit the silver screens.
Vaanam gets ‘UA’, worldwide release on April 29th
Vaanam which is based on the complex combination of five stories meeting at one point has been certified by the Regional Censor Board in Chennai yesterday (April 24). Vaanam has been awarded with an 'UA' certificate, with voice muting in few scenes. Censor Board Officials who had a chance of watching Vaanam showered praises for the film. During the censor activity is getting done, Vaanam star Silambarasan too watched the film the Censor officials. STR says “All the members who watched the film congratulated me for my performance and lady members too were very happy for me for doing Vaanam”. Vaanam is the remake of 2010 critically acclaimed film Vedam which is written and directed by Krish. Kannan and Giri have written the dialogues for the film. Vaanam will feature an ensemble cast, including Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka, Prakash Raj and Saranya, Sonia, Vega, Santhanam, Jasmine, Jayaprakash, Radha Ravi and others. Cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony respectively while music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. VTV Productions and Magic Box pictures have produced the film while Cloud Nine holds the distribution rights. Vaanam is going to release big on April 29, worldwide!
Title change for ‘Vaanam’?
‘Vaanam’, a multistarrer which has STR (Simbu), Bharath and Sneha Ullal among others playing lead roles, may go for a title change, say sources in the know. The film, a remake of Tollywood hit ‘Vedam’ is directed by Krish, who made the Telugu original too. It is based on the lives of five youngsters and Simbu is playing Cable Raja, a cable TV operator. “Since the makers of the film feel that the title is not catchy, they are seriously thinking about renaming the movie. A list of titles is being worked out and a decision would be made soon,” say sources. Interestingly, it may be recalled that Simbu too has changed his name recently. He has asked his fans to call him STR henceforth, the short form of his full name Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendran.
Sonia Agarwaal back with ‘Vaanam’!
It is already known that huge star cast like Silambarasan, Bharath, Prakash Raj Anushka, and Sneha Ullal are coming together for a multi starrer flick ‘Vaanam’ which is a remake of Krish’s telugu film ‘Vedam’. The latest news is that Sonia Agarwaal is making her come back to kollywood with this film. She is going to do one of the key roles in the film. She will be playing Prakash Raj’s wife in the film. Sonia said, “I am so happy to be a part of Vaanam as I had seen the original and loved it. I always wanted my comeback film to be a memorable one and though my role is not the central character, it is well- etched out and I loved the manner in which director Krish narrated it to me. Krish has also promised me a song and four more scenes than in the original Telugu version” Sources say that Sonia will be shooting for this film from this week in Hyderabad. She is quite excited as well as nervous to face camera again after a long gap of three years. It’s going to be great visual feast multi starrer flick in near future to watch.
