Bhavana and Madhavan in Vazhthukkal

Bhavana, who is riding high on success, has bagged another film with Madhavan titled Vazhthukkal. Her first film with Madhavan namely, Arya, is yet to hit the screens. Seeman of Thambi fame is the director of Vazhthukkal. Bhavana has already proved herself as a good performer and this film is again expected to showcase her histrionic skills, as she plays a headstrong girl in the film. Bhavana, who says that she has been a fan of Madhavan even before she entered the film industry, is only too thrilled at this offer. Bhavana who finds Madhavan a very professional actor says that she learnt a lot from him.

Seeman speaks on 'Vazhthukkal'

Seeman, who is busy shaping Madhavan starrer 'Vazhthukkal', is also getting ready for his next movie. He has tentatively named his next project as 'Samaran'. However, nothing about the movie has been finalized yet. Speaking about Vazhthukkal, Seeman says, 'The film is about some beautiful episodes in anyone's young age, which is always remembered throughout their life. It speaks volumes on those pampered moments and evergreen memories'. Meanwhile, Seeman has assisted Madhavan in writing dialogues in the actor's first production venture Evano Oruvan. Apart from releasing the movie worldwide, Madhavan has penned the dialogues for the first time for Evano Oruvan.

Vazhthukal on a right lane

Success brings Seeman and Madhavan together again. The two had teamed up to render a big hit in 'Thambi'. They developed a good rapport between them and the former helped the latter in penning the dialogues for 'Evano Oruvan', a remake of Marathi hit 'Dombivili Fast'. Now the duo is busy shaping up their next film 'Vazhthukal'. Directed by Seeman, the movie features Madhavan and Bhavana in the lead roles. Madhavan and Bhavana come together after a moderate success in 'Arya'. Seeman says, 'Though we celebrate Mother's Day every year and honor motherhood, the number of Old Age Homes have not come down in this part of the country. 'Vazhthukal' explores the reasons why'. 'It is a movie that will deliver a strong message to the society', Seeman says. Madhavan, delighted to be part of Seeman's direction, says,'We share a good vibe. Unless an actor feels comfortable working with a director, he can do justice to a movie'. Actor-turned-director Venkat Prabhu plays a prominent role in the movie.

Vaazhthugal: Assembly of celebrities

Director Seeman's forthcoming film 'Vaazhthugal' starring Madhavan and Bhavana introduces many celebrities from different fields. Everyone knows the contribution of Tamil Theatre group Koothu-P-Pattarai to the Tamil film world. It has given many amazingly talented actors like Pasupathi and Kalairaani. Actors like Jeeva and Vishal have also been trained by Koothu-P-Pattarai. Now, Na. Muthusamy, one of the founders of Koothu-P-Pattarai, makes his debut in an important role in 'Vaazhthugal'. Muthuswamy, who had already established himself as an important short story writer in Tamil, wrote the first modern play in Tamil. The veteran theatre person, who has given a new face to Tamil theatre scenario, has trained and created many talented actors. He has staged many meaningful and powerful plays successfully through Koothu-P-Pattarai. Likewise, Trotsky Marudu, a leading artist, too makes an appearance in the film. Marudu has earlier done animation works to many Tamil films and this is the first time he appears on screen. He dons the role of the father of Madhavan. To add more variety to the venture, Seeman has roped in more personalities into the film. Panrutti MLA Velmurugan acts as the uncle of Bhavana. Actor Prithviraj's mother Mallika Sukumaran too makes her entry into films by acting as the mother of Madhavan. Chennai 6000028 fame Venkat Prabhu does a small but important role in 'Vaazhthugal'. The movie that revolves around a joint family and a pleasant love story is all set to enthrall with a horde of talented persons in its cast.

Vaazhthugal: No villain

Director Seeman's forthcoming movie 'Vaazhthugal', Madhavan and Bhavana starrer, is a unique film in many counts. The movie has no villain. The incidents and the turning points are the villains. The movie looks into the problems faced by a joint family, disturbed by love. Seeman is known for his passion towards Tamil. Unlike many, who don't bring in their principles in their works, fearing the risk of being dumped by the audience, Seeman seems to be implementing his ideas. He has ensured that the whole film talks in Tamil. Only a couple of English words are used in the film. The fondness towards Tamil is reflected in the sets where everyone talks in Tamil. The film has also introduced many veterans from various fields. Theatre person Na. Muthusamy of Koothu-P-Pattarai and eminent artist Marudu are making their debuts in the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film while Na. Muthukimar has penned lyrics for all the songs. The audio is expected to be released soon while the movie will be released on Pongal. So, the film will be the 'Pongal Vaazhthugal' by Seeman.

'Vaazhthugal' audio from today

The audio of Vaazhthugal, starring Madhavan and Bhavana, directed by Seeman is released today. The function is held in Green Park, Chennai. The Yuvan Shankar Raja musical with lyrics by the young and happening lyricist Na. Muthukumar is ready to rock. The film also has a song penned by "Puratchi Kavignar" Bharathidasan. Everyone knows Seeman's penchant for Tamil language and hence it is not a surprise that the inlay card has had descriptions about the songs in Tamil. All the details of musicians including percussion artistes have been rendered well in Tamil. This is probably the first time we see certain technical terms on music rendered in Tamil in the inlay card of a CD/cassette. Hariharan, Sriram Parthasarathy, Mahathi, Swetha, Charan, Anuradha Sriram, Ragul, and Vijayalakshmi have lent their voices for seven songs. Sriram Parthasarathy has got the chance to sing Bharathidasan's song.
