Finally the much-awaited Silambarasan's directorial venture Vallavan will hit the screens this Deepavali. Sources close to Silambarasan said, 'The shooting for Vallavan is over with a song recently picturised featuring Silambarasan, Reema Sen and Nayantra in Chennai.' The post production works including re-recording will commence in a few days. Vallavan being produced by P L Thenappan and directed by Silambarasan went to floors almost a year ago. Featuring three prominent heroines, the movie has created lot of expectations among the film-buffs. The long wait will come to end this Deepavali.
Vallavan has more reason to rock
Vallavan may have taken its time in the making. But its audio is not a disappointment to the fans. The Yuvan Shankar Raja inspired music is hot in the market. Now there is more reason to rock. Yuvan has recorded one more song on the request of director Silambarasan. The new song in the film has been incorporated as Silambarasan feels that it would weightage to the film. Silambarasan also managed to convince the producer P L Thenappan on his need for the number in the movie. The song has been pictured on Silambarasan and Reema. The song was showcased to a few friends by Yuvan and they also feel this is another winning number from the winning album.
Vallavan - Working towards perfection
Silambarasan will have his Vallavan released this Deepavali. Silambarasan is shooting a few remaining portions, being produced by Thenappan, is directed by Silambarasan and the cast includes Reema Sen, Nayantra and Sandhya. The movie was shot in various locations. Songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja are already chart-busters and the whole crew is hopeful that a youthful star cast and huge expectations for the movie would work out in their favor. Silambarasan, says, 'Vallavan would have all ingredients in it to appease masses especially youth. Sure to rock movie buffs this Deepavali'.
Vallavan - Trimmer and taut
Vallavan is one of the major attractions among Deepavali releases. This Silambarasan starrer has Nayantra, Reema Sen and Sandhya providing glamour and substance. Silambarasan has directed this venture. The movie has opened to mixed reviews. Based on the feedback, the Vallavan has decided to make some cuts in the length. Vallavan runs to around three hours. Now the film looks tauter and trimmer.
Vallamai Tharayo: Parthiban spills the beans
Actor-director Parthiban, who is playing the lead role in 'Vallamai Tharayo' abstained from the audio launch function held in Chennai Wednesday. Directed by Madhumitha, the movie features Chaya Singh opposite Parthiban. Asked on abstaining from the audio launch function, Partiban said, ' I am annoyed that I have been sidelined in the project. They didn't even recognize my contribution to the film and not bothered to carry my name in the invitation for the audio launch.' He further said, ' I contributed a lot in penning the screenplay and dialogues for the movie considering that Madhumitha is a newcomer. Even in the making of the film, my contribution was immense. I was hurt by their actions', he added.
Vallamai Tharayo will speak: Madhumitha
Director Madhumita is thrilled about the prospects of her maiden directorial venture 'Vallamai Tharayo'. Starring Parthiban and Chaya Singh in lead roles, the movie is gearing up for release. Madhumitha had studied in Singapore and won an award from the Infocom Development Authority of Singapore for her short film 'Abstract Identity' and another award for her short film 'Untitled Red' from the British Broadcasting Corporation. "Watching the film will be a new experience to the audience, who, I'm, sure, will be glued to their seats. I have written and directed it. A well-known actor appears and his identity will be under wraps until the release. One of the highlights of the film will be a 'Kolatta' song", said Madhumita. The film revolves around emotions and relationships, what with a wife seeking divorce on the grounds that her husband is good.
