'Vande Matharam' another retune

After making waves with his patriotic album Vande Matharam produced in collaboration with Bharat Bala Productions, music director A R Rehman is all set to repeat the same. Rehman has retuned the national anthem which is soulful and very catchy. On Monday, Jana Gana Mana retuned by Rehman was premiered at a grand function in Mumbai where laurels were heaped on Rehman for his astounding work. The song will be screened before films in multiplexes. Rehman, singer Kavita Krishnamurthy among others took part in the function. Speaking on the occasion, the guests expressed the unanimous view that the national anthem tuned by Rehman will appeal to the young and old alike, instilling a fresh sense of patriotism. With the voices of Lata Mangeshkar, Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Asha Bhosle, Dr. Balamuralikrishna, Bhupen Hazarika, Jagjit Singh, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Sadiq Khan Langa, this rendition of the national anthem is sure to create a powerful impact among audiences.

Vande Matharam is Aruvadai in Tamil

After a long time, Mammootty is acting in a bilingual film. Directed by Karthi, a debutante, the film has Sneha doing the female lead. The first schedule of the film Aruvadai titled Vande Matharam in Malayalam was completed in Chennai last week. The director was considering the same title initially for the Tamil version, but it looks as if he backed off when he realized that the name isn't Tamil enough to claim tax exemptions. And so he finally fixed the title of the Tamil film as Aruvadai.

Arjun’s Vande Mataram to release on Sep 10th!

The much delayed long in the making bilingual film ‘Vande Mataram’ starring action King Arjun and Malayalam super star Mammootty and smiling beauty Sneha in the lead is finally confirmed its release date. The makers are planning to release the film on September 10th for Ramzan. Mammootty and Arjun play the role of cops while Sneha plays Mammootty’s wife, a pilot. The story rotates around an investigation and how the heroes get rid of the terrorists who gain access into the country. Vandemataram is directed by Aravind and produced by Henry under Pankaj Productions. D Imman has scored the music while Rajesh Yadav is the cameraman. Other supporting actors in the film are Malayalam actors Jagadish, Kalabhavan Mani, late Rajan P Dev, Atul Kulkarni, and Jai Akash.

Mammootty, Arjun, Sneha together in ‘Vandematharam’

Producer Henry who make an image with the best films like ‘Marumalarchi and Pudhumaipithan’ is back quite after a long gap. And now, he is refreshing his earlier planned film titled ‘Aruvadai’ by renaming it as ‘Vande Matharam’. Mammootty, action hero Arjun and Sneha are playing the lead roles in the film. The movie is in its post production stages. It is a bilingual film made in Tamil and Malayalam directed by Aravinda Raj. The story is about farmers fight and related struggle to keep a friendly solution to have an ever lasting peace. Mammootty and Arjun play the role of police officers while Sneha plays the role of lady pilot. Producer Henry says that the film will enlighten the patriotism in every man with its punch dialogues. Imman has composed the music for the film. The film is planned for summer release.

Global Citizen music concert - Coldplay sings Vandemataram in Mumbai

At the ongoing Global Citizen music concert event in Mumbai, various famous rock bands like Coldplay and singers like Jay Z are entertaining Indian audiences. Other day an interesting thing happened when British sensational rock band "Coldplay" entered the stage with their lead singer Chris Martin putting the mic on. Legendary AR Rahman has come up on stage and made Chris Martin sing the famous 'Maa Tujhe Salam" song from Vandemataram album of Rahman's own. Absolutely the audiences have felt that Rahman made Chris Martine pay tributes to India when in India and that clicked well with everyone.
