Two tall and beautiful looking heroines Varsha of 'Nenapirali and Bhaktha' and Sharmila Mandre of 'Sajani, Krishna and E Bandhana' have joined the team of Togudeepa Productions second venture 'Navagraha'. Meena Togudeepa Srinivas is the producer of this film. It is in this 'Navagraha' the veteran villains sons of Kannada cinema are coming together in the direction of Dinakar Togudeepa who made the super hit 'Jothe Jothehali'. Challenging star Darshan, Tarun Sudhir, Giri Dinesh, Srujan Lokesh, Vinod Prabhakar, Nagendra Urs, Dharma Kirthiraj are playing lead roles in this film ' the home banner film of popular box office hero Darshan. A journey song from Bangalore to Mysore was shot recently for the film that is shooting for 25 days in Mysore. V.Harikrishna is scoring the music for this film and Krishnakumar is the cameraman of this film.
Vaishali on Thorana
On the festival day Ugadi the noted small screen director and wife of internationally acclaimed director Girish Kasaravalli ' Smt.Vaishali Kasaravalli's yet another mega serial direction 'Mutthina Thorana' is going on air in ETV Kannada from 7th April - Monday to Friday daily at 9 pm. This half an hour mega serial is produced by noted producer Basanthkumar Patil. Smt.Vaishali Kasaravalli recovering from ill health is picking a subject of four daughters from a music teacher family. Kalavathi, Madhuvanthi, Poorvi and Savani are the four daughters (played by Lakshmi Hegde, Ananya Kasaravalli, Mahalakshmi and Roopa) of Vamana Rao Joshi and Anasuya (played by KSL Swamee and Girija Lokesh). The four daughters have lacunas of their own and how they transform into a phenomenal standard is the crux of the television serial. Vimalamma Goodur plays the grandmother role in 'Muththina Thorana'. Noted novelist Vaidehi has penned the title song for this film. Producer Basanthkumar Patil had a three in one function on last Monday at his hotel Basanth Residency. The announcement of 'Muththina Thorana', inauguration of 'Basanth Prakashana' and honoring the veteran journalist V.N.Subba Rao on completion of 75 years were held one after the other.
'Ee Varsham Saakshigaa' to hit screen in November
Directed by M Tulasi Rao and produced by T Venkataramana on the banner of 781 Cine Creations with Satish and Honey in the lead 'Ee Varsham Saakshigaa'' is all set to hit the screen by the end of November. Producer Venkataramana says, 'We took a beautiful love story as subject for our film and made it to touch the hearts of audiences. Music director Krupa gave fantastic music for the lyrics and the audio which was released through Maruthi Music is getting very positive response. Moreover, our confidence doubled on the victory of our film after watching the first copy.'
Vatshal Sheth turns Biker Dude!
Vatshal Sheth who shot into Bollywood limelight with Tarzan- the Wonder car, has quite a few prestigious films in his kitty, one of them being his films with Samir Karnik , titled Nanhe Jaisalmer and Mera Bharat Mahan. And so dedicated and excited is he about the action in Mera Bharat Mahaan, which the guy is these days profusely busy learning to ride cruiser bikes, because the film has heavy duty action and bike scenes! Every evening the guy zips off to learn the bike, which Vatshal quips is a lot of fun! We bet its fun, after all be it John Abraham or other hunks, all of them dig biking so much. Well, we wish him all the best and if lucky we shall catch a sight of this green eyed hunk zooming on our roads in his bike someday!
Vaishali Samant and Sameer Dharmadhikari in a 'Ghotala'
Vaishali Samant, whose popular non-film folksy number 'Aika Dajiba' is still heard in discotheques all over, is back in news. She has now arrived with her latest non-film album, simply titled 'V' and it's opening number is already on air. Titled 'Ghotala', it is a catchy fun track that has a surprise in the form of Sameer Dharmadhikari. A fairly successful model, he has been struggling to find his bearings as Bollywood actor even as he got a big break in Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Satta' [2003]. After appearing in a string of small time films, with his latest outing 'Game', Sameer has now consented to dance around in the music video of 'Ghotala' that also stars a foreigner female model along with comedian Vijay Patkar [Kya Kool Hain Hum, Apna Sapna Money Money].
Vaishali Kannadasan on Kamal’s request
Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming film is taking shapes in the hands of top director K S Ravikumar. Already this mega film features Trisha and Madhavan in the main roles and the unit is on search for other cast of the film. The latest news is that Vaishali Kannadasan, daughter of legendery poet Kannadasan will play a key role in the film. Giving respect to Kamal’s request, she was given an important role in the film and she has accepted it. She had already done a film ‘Vaaname Ellai’ under KB’s direction. The film is being produced by Udhyanidhi Stalin for his red Giant movies banner. Previously the film has been titled ‘Yavarum Kelir’ and then it was said it has been changed to ‘Karunyam’. Let’s wait for the final announcement.
