Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj, Anushka starrer ‘Vedam’ overseas rights were bagged by Cinegalaxy and Ikon Entertainment. Vedam is the second directorial venture of Krish who has earlier directed the film, ‘Gamyam’ and has won the Nandi award for the film. The movie has Manoj Bajpai playing an important role in the film. The movie is produced by Devineni and Sobha Yarlagadda jointly. Arka Media banner will present this flick. M.M. Keeravani is composing the music. The movie is all about five interwoven stories each story having one main actor. Anushka is said to be playing the role of a prostitute, Manchu Manoj plays the role of a rock star and Allu Arjun will be seen in a mass role The movie is slated for a release in the month of June.
Rs.70 lakhs for the audio rights of this film vedam
The multi-starrer film ‘Vedam’ which has Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj, Anushka and Deeksha Seth in the lead roles is gearing up for its release in the summer. The latest news is that Aditya music has offered a whopping sum of Rs.70 lakhs for the audio rights of this film. Aditya Music is one of the leading companies in the industry. Keeravani has scored the music for the film and there are totally 7 songs in the film. According to the film-makers the songs have come out well and they are expecting for a better price for its rights. Veda plays the villain
Veda, who has recently changed her name to Archana will be playing a bold role in the film Bank. She is part of a gang and is playing the villain in this film. Being made by Arun Kumar, it will be a multi-lingual film being made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Veda who hasn't seen much success as a leading lady may get lucky with this film as the bad girls surely sell more in Bollywood more these days than the goody good heroines.

The film is produced by Elred Kumar Infotainment, and is scheduled to hit the screens on October 7th.
Vegam's release postponed
S Ve Shekher's son Ashwin Shekher will have to wait some more time for his maiden venture to hit the screens. Vegam, the debut film of Ashwin was supposed to release on 14 September. According to Shekher, the release has been delayed by a couple of weeks. But he did not spell out the reasons for the delay. Vegam features Tollywood actress Archana opposite Ashwin. Kushboo, Prabhu, Sriman play prominent roles in the movie. The movie has musical score by Rajesh Vaidya. A major portion of the movie was shot in Malaysia.
'Vedalam' Tamil cinema's biggest opener: Trade analyst
Superstar Ajith Kumar's latest Tamil outing "Vedalam", which raked in Rs. 15.3 crore on release day in Tamil Nadu, has emerged as the biggest box office opener in the language since last year's blockbuster "Kaththi", according to a trade analyst. "With Rs. 15.3 crore on the day of its release in Tamil Nadu, 'Vedalam' has become the biggest grosser in Tamil filmdom, surpassing the previous record of Vijay-starrer 'Kaththi', which had grossed Rs. 14.3 crore on the first day," trade analyst Trinath told. Directed by Siva, "Vedalam", also starring Shruti Haasan, is the story of a don who helps a girl avenge the death of her parents. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, the film has managed to impress Ajith's large fan base. It's critical that "Vedalam" continues its dream run, says Trinath. "With a phenomenal opening, the film should continue running to packed houses for at least a week for it to enter the profit zone, especially for the distributors. Rains in Tamil Nadu had played spoilsport this week but it hasn't affected the film majorly," he said.
