Venkat Prabhu's 'Saroja' in full swing
The highly anticipated 'Saroja' has been tough work for the team but enjoyable all the same. Post production work is going on in full swing right now. Prakash Raj has been a revelation to the young team of 'Saroja'. The busy actor when given a break of three days would actually venture to act in other films and get back to the sets of 'Saroja'. None of his co-actors or crew could find a single blemish or fatigue when it came to the appropriateness and professionalism of this seasoned actor. Jayaram, according to director Venkat Prabhu has been a bundle of fun with incredible energy. He was extremely effective with jokes and keeping the spirits of the unit members high. Interestingly both Jayaram and Srihari, who performs Jayaram's role in the Telugu version, were present on the sets together. A sense of competition developed with each other in a healthy manner so much so that even after the director was happy with certain shots, the two would call for retakes to score a point over the other. Srihari is said to be happy with the outcome and kept Jayaram good company in the humor department. 'Saroja' will release in August although the date has not been finalized yet.
Venkat Prabu's disparate approach in 'Saroja'
Tollywood had an inveterate habit of directors making their appearance in their films. This trend has been altered by director Venkat Prabhu in his newly released flick 'Saroja'. For the first time in Kollywood, the producer of the movie enacts the short role of a serial director in this movie. Mahendran, the production executive appears as the chauffeur for Prakash Raj. The guest appearances also stars director Venkat Prabhu along with his Stuntman, who plays as villagemen providing directions to the band of four guys who plays the lead. Cameraman Shakthi Saravanan as the civilian who gives information about the traffic block. Premji's assistant does the role of a beggar, a man with a hideous face full of sores. The entire Chennai -28 team makes an appearance, playing characters spread out all over the movie. An interesting venture in the movie is, the director has dubbed his voice for ten different characters showing uniqueness for each character. In his appearance on screen, he dubs the voice for himself and his fellow stuntman in the same scene with apt differentiation in the tone. 'Saroja' packs loads of surprises which is sure to entertain the spectators widely.
