Yana Gupta has fun with Remo
Yana Gupta made all 'babujis' go a little slow when she danced to the tune of 'Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo' [Dum] and then had every male going 'Oh! What A Babe' as she danced to the sensational number from 'Rakth'. After this Yana was heard more but seen less, as far as Bollywood was concerned, but now her fans have some reasons to cheer as she jives to the superhit number 'REMO' from the film 'Aparichit' [originally 'Anniyan' in Tamil]. The lead hero of the film Vikram plays Remo, a super model character, and as expected the song has been lavishly picturised and stylishly choreographed. Harris Jayaraj gives music to this film directed by Shankar.
Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka filmed at 100 locations
Director Sathya Prabhas Pinisetty says he "followed the script" and shot his upcoming Tamil-Telugu directorial debut "Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka", inspired by true events, in over 100 locations in the country to keep the narrative "authentic". "We shot the film in Bombay, Goa, Pondicherry, Hyderabad and Chennai, but the total number of locations explored in these cities are more than 100. It wasn't any of the exotic locations, but something more realistic like Pudupettai, two fishing harbours and the VT station in Mumbai," Sathya told. "I had to constantly shift locations in a city. There are two ways of doing it. You can either cheat and do it according to your convenience by compromising on the ambience or take your time and convince your team to go where your script takes you," he added. Starring Sathya's brother Aadi Pinisetty in the lead, "Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka" went on the floors in February 2013, but it was wrapped up only recently. He says the delay was due to the script requirements. "The nature of the script was such that I had to change about 140 locations. The story revolves around four characters in four different parts of the country and I wanted to keep it authentic. Therefore, I didn't want to compromise creatively," he said. "The delay was also because a lot of time was spent on getting permission to shoot in some locations. If you want to shoot in a train in VT station, getting permission is a hassle. We went through the process and finally got the permission," he added. The team now plans to go to Bolivia to shoot a song. "We might go to Bolivia to shoot a remaining song. There's a place there which I thought was fabulous, but I'm not sure if it's still the same. We are doing a weather check and if we can't make it, we'll shoot it in India," he added. "Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka" also features Nikki Galrani, Mithun Chakraborty, Pasupathy, Harish Uthaman and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli.

Alka Yagnik is the voice of Umrao Jaan
While Asha Bhonsle is still considered as the voice of 'Umrao Jaan' from the 80s since she crooned some timeless gems for Rekha, the current generation may soon hail Alka Yagnik at that position for years to come. J.P. Dutta and Anu Malik have roped in Alka Yagnik to be the sole voice of Aishwarya Rai and that's the reason one finds her crooning each of the tracks that feature Aishwarya Rai. This makes 'Umrao Jaan' one of the biggest albums of Alka Yagnik's decade old career ever and is certainly a feather in her shining cap. The initial reactions to the album have been promising and it seems almost certain that contemporary India would soon get hooked on to these 'raaga' based compositions by Malik.
