It is well aware that director Rajamouli is all set to make a socio-fantasy film with NTR in the lead on his own banner called 'Viswamitra Creations'. Already NTR-Rajamouli combo was proved a hit pair with two big hits like 'Student No. 1 and Simhadri' to their credit. The latest flick, 'Yama Donga' is most likely to go to sets on December 18 amidst several top film personalities. According to industry sources, there will be five heroines in the film and already Kajal of 'Lakshmi Kalyanam'-fame was selected. Now, a Malayalam girl, Mamata Mohandas of 'Pokiri Pilla'-fame, is making her debut through this film, playing opposite NTR. Another speciality of the film is that the 'Dialogue King' Dr Mohanbabu is playing the role of Yama Dharma Raju, the first-ever combination with NTR. MM Keeravani is giving tunes for the film, while Vijayendra Prasad provided the story. The director-cum-producer Rajamouli was of the opinion to complete all the shooting and post-production formalities by June 2007 and release the film on July 9, the day Simhadri released some time ago.
'Yamadonga' performs puja
Director SS Rajamouli, who gave two successive hits with NTR like 'Student No. 1 and Simhadri' is again directing him for 'Yamadonga' to complete the hattrick. It may be mentioned here that Dr Mohanbabu is playing a mythological character of 'Yamadharmaraju' in this film. The formal launch of the film was done with the performance of puja activities at the office of the 'Viswamitra Creations' on December 14 involving the entire unit members along with music director MM Keeravani. The regular shooting of the film would begin from December 27 and the director-cum-producer is planning to release the film in July.
'Yamadonga' to hit the screen on July 9
Puja activities were performed to mark the launch of a film directed and produced by SS Rajamouli on the banner of Viswamitra Creations with Young Tiger NT Rama Rao and Malayali girl Mamata Mohandas in the lead. The film would be made with a heavy budget. The regular shooting of the film would begin from December 27. Dialogue King Mohanbabu will be playing the role of 'Yamadharmaraju' in this socio-fantasy film. It is reliably learnt that Parvati Melton, Navaneet Kaur and Kamna Jethmalani are donning the roles of Rambha, Urvasi and Menaka in Yamalokam. There will be one more heroine from Mumbai to pair up with NT Ramarao. The producer is planning to release the film on July 9, the day on which 'Simhadri' in the combination of NTR-Rajamouli was released and proved a big hit.
'Yamadonga' choreographs action scenes
Popular director SS Rajamouli who gave two big hits earlier with Young Tiger NT Ramarao is all set to do a hattrick with 'Yamadonga'. Directed on his own banner Sri Viswamitra Creations, the film has Mamata Mohandas, Priyamani, Parvati Melton, Kamna Jethmalani and Navneet Kaur in female leads. The film had completed the puja activities some time ago and the regular shooting has also begun at a specially erected set at Durgam Cheruvu. Now, another huge hero's house set was erected at a cost of Rs 25 lakhs at Madhapur. Some important scenes and a fight involving the hero were shot recently in this house set. It may be recalled that Dr Mohanbabu is playing a different mythological role as Yamadharma Raju. Keeravani is striving hard to provide melodious tunes for this flick, while Vijayendra Prasad gave a fantastic story and M Ratnam is scripting powerful dialogues for this film. It is a socio-fantasy film. The producer is planning to complete all the shooting and post-production formalities by June end and release the film on July 9.
'Yamadonga' shoot to continue in RFC by Jan end
The regular shooting of 'Yamadonga' directed and produced by SS Rajamouli on the banner of Viswamitra Creations with Young Tiger NTR, Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas in the lead is progressing well at a bungalow in the hero's house set at Madhapur. Dr Mohanbabu is playing the role of Yamadharma Raju in this flick, while Rajiv Kanakala is donning the role of Lord Indra. The shooting of the film would continue in Ramoji Film City from January-end. MM Keeravani is providing tunes for this flick, while Cherry is acting as the executive director of this movie. The producer is planning to complete all the shooting and other post-production formalities as early as possible and release the film on July 9.
'Yamadonga' shoots family episodes
Shooting of family episodes is in progress at Ramoji Film City for 'Yamadonga' directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Gunnam Urmila and Cherry on the banner of Viswamitra Creations with Young Tiger NTR and glamour stars Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas in the lead. Recently a song is being canned on Priyamani and NTR as part of the present schedule for this socio-fantasy film. Noted artiste Dr Mohanbabu is playing a different role as Yamadharma Raju in this film. Brahmanandam is donning the role of Chitragupta while Rajiv Kanakala is playing the role of Indra. The film has tunes from MM Keeravani and the film is slated for release on July 9
