Ashwin Kakumanu's Zero gets a distinguished award for it design
Zero, a fantasy horror film directed by Shiv Mohaa, had Ashwin Kakumanu and Sshivada Nair in the lead roles. The film did mediocre business at the box office and received positive reviews from critics for its experimental nature in Tamil cinema. Recently, Zero has been conferred with a Distinguished Design award from the Rocheston Accreditation Institute in New York. This award is presented to movies that have exceptional artistic creation, technique and excellence in design and innovation. Distributor G Dhananjayan of Blue Ocean Entertainment said, "It's a great honor to receive an award for a concept film like Zero. This film is made with a lot of passion and undying commitment." The team of the movie will be receiving the award on July 15, after which they are planning to hold a press meet to celebrate this feat.

Actors Arya and Anushka Shetty have teamed up for the second time in upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual "Size Zero". The film will be helmed by the son of veteran Telugu filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao. Zero Remuneration For VV Vinayak?
After almost 9 year long break, Megastar Chiranjeevi is making his silver screen comeback with the official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kaththi. After testing screen Tollywood directors, Chiru had finally zeroed in on VV Vinayak to helm his prestigious 150th film. After wrapping up the first schedule, the movie's unit is silently completing the second schedule. Surprisingly, brother Vinayak or the film's team have revealed the heroine's name until now and there seems to be a huge confusion in the unit. Many might be wondering if Vinayak is being paid a bomb by the film's producer Ram Charan for directing this prestigious flick. However, as per our reliable sources, Vinayak is not paid a single penny for this film. Apparently, Vinayak is taking the film's East Godavari distribution rights as his remuneration. Already, the pre-release business has kick-started and local buyers have offered Rs. 5.50 crores for East Godavari rights. Well, after giving two major duds in the form of Akhil and Alludu Seenu, this is indeed a handsome offer for Vinayak. - See more at: http://www.gulte.com/movienews/50732/Zero-Remuneration-For-VV-Vinayak#sthash.cbFEx3CG.dpuf
Jacqueline 'kicked out' size zero for 'Kick'
Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is gearing up to promote her first solo big project "Kick", says she had to gain weight to look convincing in her role. The 28-year-old Sri Lankan beauty has to look like a college girl in the film and she said: "During 'Race 2', I had to lean down completely because there was a lot of action scenes in it. For this film, I was asked to gain weight as I am playing a college girl." "I could not afford to have the perfect zero size body. I was 51 and now I am 56 for 'Kick' and I am very happy with my body," she added. Post medium budget psychological thriller "Murder 2", this is Jacqueline's first big film in terms of budget and cast. She is paired with none other than Salman Khan in the movie coming out July 25. Her last releases "Race 2" and "Housefull 2" were multi-starrers. When asked if this brings any pressure on her, she said: "There was a lot of pressure, but my main concern was not to disappoint Sajid Nadiadwala. He must have seen something in me that he offered me the film. When he showed confidence in me, I didn't want to disappoint him." "Kick" is important for producer Nadiadwala too as he embarks on a new journey with the action drama - it marks his debut as a director. Jacqueline praises Salman's "helping nature". "He is not the kind of a person who will leave you mid way. It's a pleasure to work with him," she added.
A big producer zeroed on for Akhil
Hero Akhil's debut flick took a long time to materialise and it seems like even his second flick is also taking similar time to happen. Somehow Nagarjuna is picking big producers for his sons and he has zeroed on Dil Raju to launch Naga Chaitanya back then and also Sudhakar Reddy to launch Akhil. We hear that even Akhil's second film will also have a big producer and that is none other than PVP. After working with PVP for Oopiri, Nag seems to have felt very comfortable with the producer. An announcement on Akhil's 2nd is likely to come on forthcoming Ugadi.
