Made with a whopping Rs 60 Crore budget, Karthi's Kaashmora is all poised to hit the screens this Friday on the eve of Diwali. Yet the film hardly has any publicity that it ain't garnering any attention of movie buffs.
As claimed by its makers, the movie happens to be the first South Indian movie to use "3D Face scan" technology - Karthi's face has been 3D scanned for an important sequence in the film that will run for 15 minutes. This is not all. The film will have 80 minutes of extravagant VFX scenes. But in vain. The poor promotions of the film is taking away all the buzz that it got initially.
Ace producer PVP, who is well-known for his aggressive promotions, is releasing the film in Telugu. Even PVP isn't promoting the film like before and this is now leading to several doubts on the film.
Speculations are rife that the makers aren't quite confident on the film and silent on the promotions. Apparently, the production house decided not to promote aggressively as it may raise the expectations meter high. This is said to be leading to more speculations.
Interestingly, the dark fantasy is releasing in more screens in Telugu than in Tamil (While the film has 600 screens in Telugu, it has only 450 in Tamil). Having said this, the film has very little publicity that is expected to take away all its hype. Wonder why the makers choosing to have low-key promotions for Kaashmora.
