Aamir’s 3-D dilemma?

Aamir Khan reportedly has reservations about filming 'Dhoom 3' in 3D, citing concerns about director Vijay Krishna Acharya's experience and the technology overshadowing his performance. Yashraj Films, however, is keen on the 3D format for the action-adventure.

Looks like 3-D is spice of the season. After ‘Haunted’ received a positive feedback at ticket windows, more and more Bollywood makers are contemplating the fact of doing their films in 3-D and the latest to think of it is Yashraj’s think tank, Aditya Chopra.

According to a source, “Aditya Chopra is keen on churning out Aamir’s next with YRF, Dhoom 3 in 3-D and as the film is an action-adventure the director of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is thinking that it would give lots of scope for 3-D effects”.

But there’s a twist attached to the story as the baddie in Dhoom 3, Aamir Khan, seems to have his set of reservations. “Buzz is that Aamir is off the idea that 3-D needs an expert to handle it carefully while Vijay Krishna Acharya [director of Dhoom 3] is yet to establish himself as a director, it would be a difficult proposition to him”, adds the source.

“In the meantime Aamir also has another reason that 3-D might overshadow his performance in the film”, explains the source. Well, that’s a valid reason from the perfectionist Khan.

On the whole, looks like Aamir will have discussions with Adhi to figure out the possibilities of Dhoom 3 in 3-D. As soon as Aamir completes the promotions of his production, Delhi Belly he might begin talks with Aditya.
