Abhishek Varman, who made his directorial debut with the 2014 hit '2 States', is ready with the script of his next film. Based on Chetan Bhagat's best-selling novel by the same name, the romantic drama, which starred Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt , had won many awards and won acclaim for the young director.
For his second outing, Abhishek decided to pen the script himself. He has reportedly shared the draft with his mentor Karan Johar who was impressed with it. The maverick filmmaker is keen to cast Bollywood biggies for the two-hero film.
