The University of Calicut has announced it will confer an honorary doctorate upon legendary actor Mohanlal for his contributions to cinema.
After claiming a lot of titles ranging from Lt Colonal to Bharath, Mohanlal has been awarded honorary doctorates earlier. He was given his first honorary doctorate by Kalady Sreesankaracharya University, a couple of years ago.
But this time it is the biggest university of the state, 'University of Calicut' which has decided to confer the most versatile star of our times with a honorary doctorate. The award will be conferred on a function which will be organized soon.
The University has earlier conferred the same on the other super star of the state, Mammootty , a few years ago.
