Anupam Kher ackowledges Jahnu Barua

Anupam Kher, proud of his film 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara', paid tribute to its director Jahnu Barua by naming a character after him in 'Mistress Of Spices'.

After 'Saransh', if there is one movie that Anupam Kher is most proud about, it is 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara'. Hence the reason why he has special fondness reserved for the film's director Jahnu Barua.

This was quite apparent on watching the film 'Mistress Of Spices'. Though Anupam Kher stars in the film as a 60 plus grand dad who confides about his family issues with the 'mistress' Aishwarya Rai, one may ask "what's the Jahnu Barua connection?" Well, in the film, for one of the scenes the character played by Anupam Kher refers to a close friend of his and the name he mentions is none other than Jahnu Barua.

Talking of reel life and real life converging into one!
