Ever since Sanjay Dutt was released after serving his sentence, the speculations for his next film have been rife.
After a lot of rumors, it was revealed that Sanjay will make his comeback with Siddharth Anand’s film which has been tentatively titled ‘Badlaa’. The director has been on the lookout for the female lead, who will not play Sanjay’s romantic interest, but play the role of a runway daughter.
Names of many actresses ranging from Shraddha Kapoor to Kriti Sanon cropped up, however, according to a report by DNA, Athiya Shetty might just be the final choice.
The report states “Dutt and Athiya’s dad Sunil are very close, and it is but natural that Sanju would want her to play the female protagonist. She is Dutt’s recommendation. Both the actresses fit the bill for this hardcore action film, but Sanju is very keen to have Athiya on board, as is she.”
Well Athiya and Sanjay Dutt, that sure sounds interesting.
