With just three weeks to go for the Assembly election in the State, actor and president of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam Vijayakanth, is keen on getting his Perarasu released before the elections.
Though the movie has been completed long back, it is still lying in the cans due to financial constraints faced by its producer Khaja Mohideen.
For Vijayakanth, the movie is very crucial for it has his political message.
Hence efforts are on from Vijayakanth's camp to have the movie released by the last week of April, which looks like a daunting task.
Featuring Vijayakanth in a dual role, the movie is directed by a debutant Jeppi A Y.
