Veteran actor of Kannada films who has proved his mettle on stage from the play 'Mukyamantri' who is known as Mukyamantri Chandru gets the position of President of Kannada Development Board.
Mukyamantri Chandru the sitting MLC of the Bharatiya Janata Party that is ruling the state was upset a few months ago for not getting noticed. He now replaces Dr.Siddalingaiah as the President of Kannada Development Board. Dr.Siddalingaiah a rebel poet has been shifted to 'Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara' ' Kannada Books Foundation Board.
Dr.Siddalingaiah had one more year to complete his term as President of Kannada Development Board. It may be recalled Mukyamantri Chandru traveled widely all over Karnataka on improving the status, culture, tradition and status of Kannada language and Kannadigas in last October.
