Deepak Tijori:I make movies for the Box Office

I was not looking for three or four star rating for Tom, Dick and Harry. It's a plus film and the distributors and exhibitors have recovered their cost and the box office result is basic for me, says actor-turned-director Deepak Tijori whose supposed-to-be comic film Tom, Dick and Harry has been unilaterally panned by the critics as well as the audience.

Even though the criticism has been severe, Tijori is trying hard not to look flustered. The Box Office verdict is still not out on Tom, Dick and Harry but it seems that it might add to his list of flop films as a director.Oops, Khamosh, Fareb and now Tom, Dick and Harry are different from each other. I am a two year old filmmaker, there are bound to be some teething problems. I am still learning my ropes. And I am absolutely happy with what I am doing, he justifies.

Deepak Tijori started his innings as an actor with Mahesh Bhatt's Aashiqui. He followed it up with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na and Vaastav. His dream of making it big as a solo hero never really took off but still he held his own against the likes of Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Any plans of stepping into his acting shoes once again? As an actor I've done all sorts of roles, but now is time for me to experiment with the filmmaker within me. I am looking forward to my next film Teen Tigda, Kaam Bigda.
