Arun Chidambaram's upcoming Tamil film 'Kanavu Variyam,' which addresses power cuts in rural Tamil Nadu, has garnered six international awards prior to its theatrical release.
Kanavu Variyam, an upcoming Tamil film is directed by Arun Chidambaram. He is the son of 'Aanazhagan' Dr.A.Chidambaram, a pioneer in the field of Physical Culture in Southern India for more than 4 decades. Apart from playing the lead role and directing the movie, Arun has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics for ‘Kanavu Variyam’.
The film said to be about power cuts across villages in Tamil Nadu has won six prestigious international awards. The film had its Asian Premiere on June 19th at Shanghai International Film Festival, China. The film has also won acclaim from India, USA, China, Korea, Russia, Italy, Ukraine and Kenya. It will soon have its theatrical release in Tamil Nadu.
