The Malayalam hit film 'Lanka', starring Suresh Gopi and Mamata Mohandas, is being dubbed into Telugu as 'Pokiri Pilla' for a December 1 release.
Dubbing is in progress for the super-hit film from Malayalam, 'Lanka,' which has Suresh Gopi and Mamata Mohandas in the lead and this film is directed by AK Shahan.
S Harish Reddy is the producer of the dubbed version which is titled as 'Pokiri Pilla' and this is being made under the banner Dhruti Cinema. The producer is planning to release the film on December 1.
As announced already, the film has real life incidents that occurred in Sri Lanka, when the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam waged a war against the Sri Lankan Government for a separate State for the Tamils.
The film, which has action and romance in its backdrop, was a big hit in Malayalam. The performance and glamour of Mamata Mohandas is the highlight of the film. Producer Harish Reddy says, "We will release the audio of the film on November 20 and are planning to release the film on December 1. We are confident that the film would repeat the history and will be a big hit in Telugu like in Malayalam."
