Following the protest of South Indian Artists Association on November 1st in the Lankan issue, now FEFSI members' (Film Employees' Federation of South India) protested by fasting against the genocide atrocities meted out to Tamils in Sri Lanka.
FEFSI members observed a one-day token fast near Senthil Studio on Arunachalam Salai at Saligramam in Chennai on 5th November, 2008.
Thousands of employees belonging to FEFSI took part in the fast. Shooting schedules for both the silver and small screens were cancelled and this fasting was lead by FEFSI president Vijayan.
The attendees included Tamil Film Producers council president Rama Narayanan, directors R K Selvamani, RC Sakthi, actors Radha Ravi, Ramesh Khanna, Jai Akash, lyricists Thamarai and Piraisoodan among others.
Although actors and actresses were earlier said they will be a part of the fast, only a few among the film fraternity was sighted in the area.
