From Rameshwaram to Cambodia

Jeeva starrer Rameshwaram is fast nearing its completion. Starring Bhavana opposite Jeeva, the movie is directed by Selvam.

A major portion of the movie was shot in Rameshwaram, quite appropriate to the title. A few sequences were shot in and around the shores of Pondicherry.

The latest buzz doing rounds is that the director has sought permission to shoot important scenes involving Jeeva and Bhavana at a historical Buddha temple in Cambodia.

According to Selvam, 'Rameshwaram is a tale of a Lankan refugee. He comes across a Tamil woman in Rameshwaram and romance develops. How he overcomes the problems forms the crux'.

Selvam was quick to deny rumors that the movie has controversial scenes involving the ethnic issue

Jeeva heaps laurels on Selvam for conceiving a storyline quite different from the run-of-the-mill-stuffs. 'It has enough scope for me to prove my acting credentials. I am happy working in Rameshwaram', he says.
