The Kannada film Googly has set a new record for remake rights, with its Telugu version fetching the highest price ever.
Yash and director Pawan Wadeyar should be on cloud nine now. Their film, Googly, also starring Kriti Kharbanda, and produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra has created a new record by becoming the Kannada film whose remake rights have been sold for the highest amount for any other language.
The film's Telugu remake rights have been sold for Rs 45 lakh, which is the highest ever for a Kannada film for any single other language film. Pawan Wadeyar said that he is likely to direct the Telugu version as well. The Kannada film is the highest grosser in Yash's career.
