Parineeti Chopra was paid a bomb to play the female lead for the crazy project happening in the collaboration of Mahesh Babu-AR Murugadoss. This could also be one of the reasons behind escalation of budget cost from Rs 80 crore to Rs 90 crore even before the start of the shoot.
Highly placed sources inform, Parineeti Chopra charged a pay package of Rs 3.5 crore to act opposite Mahesh Babu in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Believe it or not, No other Bollywood actress except Aishwarya Rai (Rs 6 crore for Robo) charged such a huge amount for a Southern project.
Inspite of the exorbitant remuneration, Makers weren't complaining as they trust the combination have the calibre to conquer the Box Office. Even chances of having a simultaneous Hindi release were explored. While Murugadoss & Parineeti delivered blockbusters in Bollywood already, Mahesh is someone with pan-India appeal and even B-Town Actresses go head over heels for him. So, why not give it a try?
