It has been quite some time since Mammootty has acted in a Tamil film and the upcoming movie Peranbu, directed by Ram would mark his return to the Kollywood industry. Now, certain reports reveal that the film is a bilingual. Reportedly, the makers of the film are planning to release the movie simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam
In a recent interview given to a newspaper, the director of the film Ram stated that initially they had thought of making the movie in Tamil alone, but it was actor Mammootty who persuaded and convinced him about the Malayalam version of the movie. Reportedly, Mammootty convinced the director by pointing out that Mollywood audiences would accept the movie and hence the team decided to make it a bilingual.
Well, it is definitely a good news for all the audiences in Kerala as they can see their favourite star in a powerful role, yet again. Reportedly, Mammootty would be seen in the role of a family man and the movie focusses on father-daughter relationship. Nothing much has been disclosed about the Malayalam title of the film. The film would also feature Suraj Venjaramoodu in an important role. The movie is expected to hit the theatres in the month of February, next year.
