Looks like every film wants to release their film in the festive weekend of Pongal. Earlier, Vijay's Bairavaa was the only confirmed film to release for Pongal. But now, within the last three days, many films have announced that they will come for the Uzhavar Thirunaal weekend. G.V.Prakash's Bruce Lee, C.V.Kumar's Adhe Kangal, Arun Vijay's Kuttram 23, Jai's Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal, Krishna's Yaakkai were the latest additions, according to today's morning reports. But later this evening (18th December), yet another film has joined the list and it is a Vijay Sethupathi's film. Puriyaatha Puthir, which has Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in lead roles, is announced as a Pongal release now. It should be noted that this Ranjit Jeyakodi directorial has been postponed several times due to reasons unknown. Meanwhile, Arya, on a lighter note tweeted, "Looks like there r lots of freebies for Pongal .. even I am announcing my film #Kadamban for Pongal #justforfun
